Akabar Al-Baker was probably laughing his a** off until Saturday.

I wonder if he is concerned about BA management?

Also, AC should hope that no board members had family traveling who were expose to BA this weekend.

Business Travel News UK is calling for "heads to roll" in an editorial out today.

All good points.

I doubt his brief included loosing the airline £100-150 million. Given BA's marginal performance since AC took charge I don't think there is much in the way of argument he has done a good job and his alleged Yammer rants, well draw your own conclusions on that.

An empty reflective jacket could replace A. Cruzis, it would I am sure draw more loyalty of BA staff.

While I could see David Cush as being an interesting choice - the Virgin America product fits very well with the British Airways style (or what it should be!). Although BA has been male dominated over the years at the top - maybe its time for a woman.
Despite their failings at being truly low cost - CMC has done a good job at easyJet at winning over customers and changing perception.

Yup, high-vis jacket="I am on the ground and working really hard" (he could have gone the whole George Osborne but I imagine BA have tight reins on the hard-hat budget nowadays).

Also lanyard="I am a normal member of staff, just like the little people....". As if any member of BA staff would need to see his badge to know who he is, and what they think of him.

Cruz is done after this disaster, major institutional shareholders of IAG will make it very clear he needs to be removed.

Out of his depth, unapproachable, arrogant and simply doesn't care about the product (Willie has got my back, so BA can go to hell)

I wish I could share some of the posts on our internal forum, people are not holding back on the feelings about Alec Cruz.

Must be terrible to be a long-term staff member watching this clown destroy the brand with wee Willie egging him on from the sidelines.
