BA360 LHR-LYS 17/05/17 – Engine incident and return to LHR with emergency landing
Just seen someone on facebook post from onboard BA360 which returned to LHR this morning following some sort of engine incident.
Facebook poster suggests the cause was a piece of the wheel flying off during take-off. Only news report I can see so far is in the Sun which suggests there was an engine stall and reported ‘loud bang’ 20 mins into flight:

More details will no doubt emerge in due course.

Sounds like one of the engines let go mid climb and the crew safely returned to Heathrow. Something of a non event if a bit scary for those onboard.
