Same as all of June and July - something weird is going on. Asking them on Twitter at the moment

Flights are bookable with connection beyond LHR, but not as EDI-LHR v.v. Is that deliberate (saving space for those with connections, and trying to redirect passengers travelling between EDI and LON to other LON airports)?

i wonder if this is a glitch to do with the kids fly free? I can't find any availability on the BA website in ET for EDI/LHR

Early October - all flights in ET "sold out", but was able to book using avios. Obviously an IT problem.

Do not attribute to conspiracy what can be more simply explained by incompetence

BA replied

Via twitter. They have had a number of queries about this. They are sold out! Seems odd

I have checked various dates, no cash bookings, but Avios yes, so not sold out.

Something is going on. Maybe they are keeping all seats for connecting passengers and a limited amount of avios seats.

Awaiting a twitter reply

They are not sold out though. Like Globaliser upthread, I check BA.com and then checked EF. There is plenty of selling class availability in ET for dates which state "sold out" on BA.com.

Does seem odd. Not sure why they are saying they are sold out. I have questioned this. Will see if they reply.

Have also replied to one of BA's tweets and posted a screenshot for 18 Jan showing all sold out. Hopefully someone may realise it is unlikely flights are sold out 8 months from now and perhaps there is some fault!

Strange that BA on Twitter would be sticking to the 'sold out' line when they really aren't...
