KVS tool question
I'm trying to find BA fare rules via KVS tool (diamond membership) but can't seem to get them to display. Screenshot has dummy dates (ie not looking for rules for tonight's flight) but doesn't seem to work if I vary the dates / route etc. I think the dropdown is supposed to show a fare basis (where it says "LON/SYD/BA/?" but unsure how to get that to appear...? Trying to see what the fares are for different booking classes and the rules that apply etc.
Any suggestions welcomed!
(Apologies if this is already answered elsewhere I've looked on KVS help / google / FT forum search but couldn't find anything though would be happily corrected if there's a good resource to read)

KVS Tool just 'screen scrapes' information from various sources. You aren't paying for access to information, just the 'tool' which scrapes information.
Perhaps the data source KVS Toolsteals scrapes this information from has changed their format or blocked/removed it from being freely accessible.
ExpertFlyer provides fare rules in addition to most of what KVSsteals scrapes, but EF pays for that data and I have always found it reliable.
I think the fare you've selected is the following:

I haven't used KVS for a while, but there was a change a while back where you had to double click on a fare price to show the fare basis (rather than all of them showing immediately). After that I think the fare rules should be available from the drop-down (replacing the question mark).
If that doesn't work then as KARFA suggests using ITA matrix and forcing results in a given fare class using "BA+ /f bc=X" in the advanced routing box, where X is the fare bucket, is a workable alternative.

I'm trying to figure out how much a trip will cost with a GUF2 - my understanding is (booking via a travel agent) it will book into A class (First) but be priced in I class (ie Club World) - but I'm trying to understand what the I class fare will be, as my reading on here suggests it is the lowest published fare for that date as opposed to the lowest fare being actively sold at the point of booking.
Also trying to compare the cost if I ticket it as an ex-UK (starting in Scotland and connecting via LHR) vs ex-EU...

Just price up as normal cash fares in business for exUK and exEU. That is what you pay, and then the GUF is applied to upgrade to F.

@so3003, I do have the same experience as you. I used to use expertflyer, but now wanted to give KVS a try.
When searching for a simple basefare, FRA-KEF, it does list prices just as in your screenshot, but not the corresponding basefares. Without the name of the basefare however I canīt access the information that KVS advertises to provide. To me thatīs borderline fraud.
I did write a mail to their support address, will see how they handle it. For now I am very dissappointed with the tool, will continue using expertflyer and will highly recommend anyone to not use KVStool.
Quite fitting that they would even have "stool" in their name.

Because on some of the data EF is outdated or incorrect. Donīt recall exactly the fares now, but I had trouble several times when OTAs would come up with fares EF didnīt know. I thought KVS might be better in that regards foolishliy thinking that constantly updating the tool is equivalent with more accurate data.

KVS Tool also has numerous other supplementary functions, including Fare Info, which currently requires the Fare Basis Code to be entered manually.
