BA.Com down? [11 Apr 2017]

I am trying to check in both on iPhone App and ba.com and getting "Sorry, there seems to be a technical problem. Please try again in a few minutes."

Is the entire site down?

It seemed to be struggling earlier this morning; was attempting to do a couple of award searches and each time you submitted a request you saw the same error. Seems they've taken it offline entirely now.

I think most people will just come back later, but still a significant cost from those who don't. The high cost of penny pinching.

Impact isn't just in terms of lost flight bookings - it's also additional commission BA will have to pay if people use other channels instead to book (e.g. Expedia), and potential additional staffing costs / delay costs if they have to do more check-ins at the airport than usual.
