Dirty cutlery in Concorde Room

Second time today - old food baked on to cutlery. Also happened last time I was here, two weeks ago. Maybe dishwasher problems!?

Don't start looking at the champagne flutes in the Flounge. Many of the 'clean' ones have lipstick residue. A wipe removes it but not a dishwasher.

Obviously you'd expect cutlery to be clean but did you ask any of the BA staff there?

i just handed it back to serving staff (not BA staff) and requested a new piece, each time. Didn't complain or say it was second time, but good staff should do something about it.

Maybe I should have done, but had better things to do than seek out a BA staff member.

I sent 3 forks and knives back at the Al Safea Lounge a couple of weeks back, and a fork at the Qantas First Lounge in SYD last week. Egg appears to be the biggest culprit.

I've lost count how many cutlery items I've asked to be swapped on AA aircraft.

It's not only a BA problem nor one limited to airlines.

Used cutlery left for a few hours before washing ends up with dried in food on it. It is difficult to remove without soaking the cutlery for a while. I notice it in Club Europe often. Unless the crew begin doing the washing up, it's difficult to avoid.

Alcowipes next time, or my own plastic cutlery.

Order a kosher meal on BA and you are guaranteed to get brand new cutlery :-)

Yet you found time to post on here but not actually tell a member of BA staff who would have been easily found at the reception desk?

I agree it not's acceptable but you could have told BA but didn't.

Strange isnt it. Like people who come on here to complain about other peoples' bags in lounges but don't ask that they be moved.

Is that true? Brand new, never used .. or special cleaning procedures? Same for crockery and glassware?

I was supervising / entertaining a small child - not going to leave her on her own to go and find a BA member of staff, I'm afraid.
