Have newspapers been enhanced?

Only The Times available in the Edinburgh lounge this morning and no newspapers on the carts on the jetty. Usually, The Scotsman and some others would be on offer too.

Is this part of the "innovative and transformational new product and service" do we think?

I'm guessing it's a supplier problem.

If the DM has been removed that would certainly be an enhancement... ^

I would support BA if they were to have digital subscriptions so people could download the newspapers and read them on iPads and Kindle devices.

EDI Lounge isn't bad for power plugs but certainly GC LHR and GF LHR a lot of the power points don't work so having a physical copy can be beneficial

Agreed. I hate seeing that crap as I walk down the jetway. Really gives a bad impression of BA.

I really don't see the value in offering newspapers these days, certainly on short haul.

Personally, I value the newspapers. If I have 20 minutes in the lounge I'll have a coffee and pick up a newspaper. Want to make good value of the resources BA offers

I love the Mail and long may it continue. 1.5 million readers too. It gives me a very good impression of BA. It must be tough to tolerate discourse chez toi.

Probably a supplier issue I would think as Can I help you has stated.

There should be a choice of various newspapers, not just the ones folk here don't like or want to actually see or read (which has been discussed here hundreds of times!) and not really on topic to the thread subject.

I have been to GC LHR once and GF LHR three times in last 5 weeks and 3 out of 4 times I didn't see financial times (all three times were afternoon) and was told run-out due to strong demand ( really?!) and 2 out of 4 times I didn't see WSJ. But lots of copies of DM/Times/I etc were on the shelf.

Personally I think BA should enhance away those newspapers whose inks come off easily, I.e DM!

Yes, no DM. Sorry to those who don't agree, but that does feel like a genuine enhancement to me :-)

Nothing other than The Times available and only in the lounge.

I subscribe to the Times and can access it online so enjoy it when other newspapers are available. I'll be at EDI BA Lounge later today so will be sure to report on the newspaper availability!

Hopefully an FT

This would be one enhancement I would really support. With real-time news available on your phone/tablet/laptop why stock newspapers?
