Arrow BA Lounge Database | North America

i Preface
Welcome to the North America edition of the BA Lounge Database. This thread contains details of all the lounges currently available to BA passengers in this region. Each lounge card contains basic reference information plus a background image, carefully selected to provide you with a flavour of what's in store at each location. Links to comprehensive member reviews, pictorial, and discussion threads concerning individual lounges will be added in due course.

Please note while best efforts are taken to keep abreast of the opening hours listed in this thread (and on the oneworld lounge site), lounge opening times are subject to routine changes. At outstations, the hours of opening at BA operated lounges are reliably adjusted to align with BAs flight schedules.

For full information on lounge access eligibility, we have a separate thread covering that: BA lounge access guidelines. All the information you need is contained there.

There are also new rules concerning access to American Airlines Flagship lounges - these are outlined below:

Flagship lounge access
American Airlines operates four Flagship Lounges in the United States, at Chicago O'Hare, Dallas Fort Worth, Miami, New York JFK, and Los Angeles. There is a new lounge currently under construction at Philadelphia. AA recently changed the access policy to these lounges which is worthy of a note as you may now be able to use these lounges if you were not able to before.

Access qualifications
  • Business and First class ticket holders travelling on an international or designated AA transcontinental flight (specifically non-stop JFK-LAX, JFK-SFO, LAX-JFK, LAX-MIA flights). First class ticket holders may bring in a guest. Business class ticket holders cannot.
  • BA Executive Club Silver and Gold card holders travelling on any oneworld operated/marketed flight (plus one guest)
Flagship First Dining
  • Available to first class ticket holders (plus one guest) travelling on AA operated flights to Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America at JFK, LAX, MIA, and DFW, Flagship Dining Rooms offer a more salubrious (and unquestionably more tranquil) sit down service.
  • While not a written benefit, there is now sizeable number of anecdotal reports posted on FlyerTalk which suggest access to FFD is extended to BA First passengers, a) departing DFW and LAX, and b) arriving with onward connections on AA
  • Also available to AA's transcontinental First Class passengers (no guests though)
  • Having a shiny card is not enough to gain entrance but Executive Club Gold and Silver card holders (plus one guest) may use the less formal buffet service available inside the Chicago, JFK, and Los Angeles Flagship Lounges and also the annexed Bistro Dining Space at JFK

No lounge provision, no voucher either. There are 4 cafs airside and a few shops selling water. Limited power sockets (but there are some, notably in the cafs), reasonably fast free wifi from the airport (14 mb/s download, 6 mb/s upload), no shower facilities.

BA's service operates out of Terminal B and while the lounge is located in Terminal A, the two terminals are physically linked and the lounge isn't too far from BA's gate, usually 18 (opposite "The Brit" pub). So when you clear security at B, turn right and walk straight along the length of the concourse until the gate numbers descend to 15.

I've rebooted this thread due to some technical issues with the old thread which made it difficult to update. The old thread, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...h-america.html has now been archived.

MMB is telling me that there's a charge for the showers in the Premium lounge at MIA. Is that accurate, and if so, is this new? I last used them in 2015 and didn't have to pay anything.

Bathrooms at OAK Escape Lounge are outside the lounge across the hall, not inside the lounge.

Hello,

Hopefully this is the most appropriate thread to ask this question, if not, I apologize..

We are traveling BA LHR to SJC in First, then connecting to Alaska Airlines in First up to Seattle. Might the SJC Club (BS partner lounge) grant us access? Travel date is Aug 15th.

In reviewing the BA & One World lounge access rules, I suspect the answer is "no" as Alaska is not a One World carrier even though we are arriving on a first class ticket...

Curious if anybody has had any luck in this scenario?

Thanks, DUT

The answer is no unfortunately. You would have to be departing SEA on a oneworld operated and marketed flight in order to access a oneworld lounge in SEA.

KARFA,

Thanks for your response. It's actually SJC Club that I'm asking about, but from my research and your response, assume answer is the same "no"... I think we will still try by presenting our arriving BA First boarding pass, but expecting to be rejected...

Thanks again!
