Club Europe Catering Guide 2017.

This thread outlines the new arrangements for Club Europe catering, introduced on Sunday 26 March 2017 and due to end on Tuesday 11 September 2018, based on 3 zones. A new Club Europe catering product is due to be launch on Wednesday 12 September 2018, and this is based on 4 bands. The main information piece - in terms of timings and the distance zones for the meals can be found in post 1. The following cross references the photos below against the matrix of options. In addition to the photos, some FTers have written extensively on their experiences so there is more to this thread than the pictures. Also note that there was an increase in food offered on some combinations shortly after the start-up, so the more recent photos may be the best place to start. The previous shorthaul catering guide, now locked but which had the previous 4 band system, is to be found here.

Numbers relate to the post number. Vegetarian means the alternative option provided as standard rather than the pre-ordered versions - which are VLML (Lacto-ovo), AVML (Asia) and VGML (Vegan) . There are differences between the offering in/out of LHR, LGW, LCY+STN. Last update: 833

Note posts before 1-832 are typically the April 2017 menu. 833 and above is from the menu for May 2017.

BLL-LHR, BA805 11.15-12.10

Kosher brunch (again). Different recipe, much less salty smoked salmon with quinoa, dried cranberries, and herbs. Sesame seeded challah was actually soft this time around. Dessert was custard-like in top with a seasoned apple puree something in the bottom. All in all, delicious.

My flight to Zakynthos leaves at 10.15am. Is this a breakfast menu? I have had a look at think that it is too late for that?

The first post in this thread has the timings; breakfast finishes at 09:30.

As you are on a Long sector, you will be served the 'rest of the day' meal on a flight that departs at 10:15. This is a starter, dessert and cheese on the tray, with a choice of two hot main courses delivered once you've finished the starter.

Thanks. Yes, that is what I was thinking but seemed very early!

There will be a bar service first with drinks and nuts, so by the time you are eating it will be 11:15 at least I'd have thought.

@AStarr had the same meal on BSL-LHR today. Was very good and as the crew described it, 'Gold dust' to the Panini and chicken salad everyone else was being offered.

Yeah that was pretty freakin' tasty by comparison to most intra-European meals I've had... I'd rank it second to the duck leg I had on TAP (which is currently holding at #1 from service and food quality)

Could anyone point me to what to expect on LGW-JER route in CE?
First flight is 15:50, so assume afternoon tea?
Next eveningse fight is 19:45, so that'll be 'dinner', which I suspect is small on a 50min flight?
Thanks.

You'll get amuse-bouche sized salad of prawn cut in half on a bed of cheap lettuce/seaweed...

I suggest waving away the food and asking for an extra bottle of champers.

Would anybody with recent experience be able to confirm if BA872 to KRK/Krakow at 1650 remains a long band “rest of day” service with a starter and two meal choices?

Thanks in advance...DUT

Yes, KRK is a long band flight, so you'll get a starter, main and dessert.
