Club Europe Catering Guide 2017.

This thread outlines the new arrangements for Club Europe catering, introduced on Sunday 26 March 2017 and due to end on Tuesday 11 September 2018, based on 3 zones. A new Club Europe catering product is due to be launch on Wednesday 12 September 2018, and this is based on 4 bands. The main information piece - in terms of timings and the distance zones for the meals can be found in post 1. The following cross references the photos below against the matrix of options. In addition to the photos, some FTers have written extensively on their experiences so there is more to this thread than the pictures. Also note that there was an increase in food offered on some combinations shortly after the start-up, so the more recent photos may be the best place to start. The previous shorthaul catering guide, now locked but which had the previous 4 band system, is to be found here.

Numbers relate to the post number. Vegetarian means the alternative option provided as standard rather than the pre-ordered versions - which are VLML (Lacto-ovo), AVML (Asia) and VGML (Vegan) . There are differences between the offering in/out of LHR, LGW, LCY+STN. Last update: 833

Note posts before 1-832 are typically the April 2017 menu. 833 and above is from the menu for May 2017.

Is this new or did the crew go an extra step?
We had this on a VIE - LHR flight, it was massively appreciated!

BA598 LHR-VCE (20.15 departure)

Chicken & Slaw salad. Other choice was a mozzarella panini

I'd moved the cutlery. Good for a snack. Didn't have the dessert.

Ksml lhr-waw

So we ordered the (Hermolis) KSML for LHR-WAW last evening. Needless to say this was the *best* meal we've ever had on an airplane, period. Who knew fingerling-potato salad could taste *this* good, not to mention the warm Challah bread, hot-smoked salmon, home-style stuffed chicken breast, and those *sinful* chocolate-covered profiteroles? The appetizer portion was HUGE compared to the tiny balik salmon morsels everybody else got. People looked at us with envy.

BA1340 LHR to LBA - 12th May 2018, Express Breakfast

Bacon roll offered on request once the trays and drinks had been served.

Quite nice for what was a 32 minute flight today!

Im assuming tomorrows early (07:15) to Larnaca is a breakfast offering, and nothing else?

Just planning how how many packets of kettle crisps to take from the lounge for later...

Yes, breakfast followed usually by a bar service with packaged almonds later in the flight.

Asian vegetarian, LHR-ZRH (short), departure 1725. Very delicious, except the salad was dry (no dressing...)

Ba2762 lgw-ams

Afternoon tea (Ploughman's) on BA2762. Not sure if just down to being Gatwick, but pork pie and a mini scotch egg were different to normal. Is the Pork Pie aanew addition? A per usual didn't have the dessert, so not sure how it was. The Ploughman's was OK, pastry (as you can see) wasn't a Melton style

No, it is just that LGW has a different caterer to LHR, see also post 2266 above. LCY, LGW and LHR have different meal options throughout, STN has the same as LCY.

Thank you. Was much nicer than the same from LHR. Did check a few posts but struggled a bit on my phone.

REALLLYY?? Just that? I mean in total that doesnt cost more than 5 in retail.

The LBA flights are not that full so you often get a middle seat empty. Therefore all you're paying for CE on this sector is that sloppy meal...come on BA!

This is the standard breakfast offering for both MAN and LBA, it's not a full breakfast due to the short service time. All other domestic routes get a full breakfast in CE when departing before 0930.
