Club Europe Catering Guide 2017.

This thread outlines the new arrangements for Club Europe catering, introduced on Sunday 26 March 2017 and due to end on Tuesday 11 September 2018, based on 3 zones. A new Club Europe catering product is due to be launch on Wednesday 12 September 2018, and this is based on 4 bands. The main information piece - in terms of timings and the distance zones for the meals can be found in post 1. The following cross references the photos below against the matrix of options. In addition to the photos, some FTers have written extensively on their experiences so there is more to this thread than the pictures. Also note that there was an increase in food offered on some combinations shortly after the start-up, so the more recent photos may be the best place to start. The previous shorthaul catering guide, now locked but which had the previous 4 band system, is to be found here.

Numbers relate to the post number. Vegetarian means the alternative option provided as standard rather than the pre-ordered versions - which are VLML (Lacto-ovo), AVML (Asia) and VGML (Vegan) . There are differences between the offering in/out of LHR, LGW, LCY+STN. Last update: 833

LHR-LUX-LHR BA0416 @ 0735 and the BA419 @ 1835
Full English breakfast - with anchor butter!
And Duck salad for dinner - with anchor butter again!
great service both ways and both dishes were delicious!
Although both flights were less than half full - only 11 pax both ways in Club out of a possible 30 odd

Was really tasty, but I get more chicken in the Caesar salad in my Boots meal deal. OSL really should be in the long band, 6 rows of CE and service done with the crew behind the galley curtain with an hour still to run.
Handy tip for my next Bring on Board snack in ET .......

Horrid and Slimey.

Dear God. Thatís a first. Apart from your opinion is there any non-subjective critique? I have eaten it several times and found it moist and delicious.

Well as all critiques are subjective your question is a difficult one to answer - however - the ‘coleslaw’ bit which is actually the majority of the ‘salad’ was way too rich. The duck breast was tough and tasteless and had a very odd slimy texture and my bits were a little fatty both on the rim and in the breast slice itself. And the walnuts are out of place - an add on that ‘looks cool’!

The tomato was was tasty though ......

I've got an SVQ on Friday. Does anyone know if the menu has changed for rest of the day flights, or are we still on for one veggie and one meat on the longer sectors?

VGML breakfast

Curry for VGML breakfast ex-EDI and ex-HEL on nightstopping flights. Complained to CSM/CSD both times, not what I was expecting at 7 in the morning... AY do a delicious SH VGML hot breakfast (with a tofu-like omelette thing), so I don't see how it can be hard to get this right.

I don't get it either. What about Porridge even with soy milk or almond milk?

Thanks - so same as LHR then? The LGW wiki at the top shows a veggie on each route for long bands, if I am reading that right, on rotation.

I don't think it was entirely clear that you were on a LGW service, and from what we know LGW have also introduced new menus - different from LHR. There were some photos in post 1696 of the new LGW menu outbound, above but my browser isn't showing them any more. Unfortunately we need a bit more data from LGW travellers to be sure what is out there.
