Anyone flying thru that can take some pics and give a review?
Really interested to understand how the 'step directly from the lounge to the plane' works.
I haven't been in the lounge, but I've seen the new gates so I have a basic idea of how they work. The gate has 2 jet bridges, one for the upper deck of the A380 and the other for the lower. Obviously the bottom jetbridge would be used for all other planes. Originally they were planning on 3 jetbridges but they cheaped out. The top jetbridge connects to the 3rd floor of the terminal (main departure level), the bottom jetbridge connects to the 2nd floor (immigration level). The lounge is on the 4th floor.

The setup is designed so that, when the A380 is used, most people will not have to change more than one level to board. The assumption is that most people with lounge access will be on the upper deck. When planes other than the A380 are used though, lounge users will need to go down 2 levels to the jetbridge after their boarding passes are scanned.

So, I have just arrived at Logan to be told the exciting news that we can use the new lounge. It is lovely and new and there is a ton of Logan/BA management around. I've also never seen so many Lounge staff.

Some photos...

Wow impressive lounge. Great view from the bar area. I also love the seating area with the beige coloured seats.

Well done on getting in a day early, and the transformation looks very good, from "no view" to "amazing view". Thanks for the photos, I seem some similarities with AMS/LGW/EDI (etc), as well as some differences. Can you confirm if there is a separate First area?

Hope it's not so windy by the time you take off!

No separate first area other than the dining tables.

The lounge is lovely and loads bigger than old version . Lots of sockets too.

Is it the same lift as ever, to the back left of the main level and if so, is floor 2 down? If so it won't be new

The lift itself is brand new and everything else around it on main level has changed since I was here last so not sure. But it is opposite gate e11 if that helps.

Yes, the 2nd floor contains the old lounges, the immigration hall, and gates E1-E3. The 3rd floor contains gates E4-E12. The 4th floor contains the 3 new lounges:

Lufthansa above gate E10
Emirates above gate E11
BA above gate E12

All with direct boarding access to their A380 capable gates.

They did put in a new elevator, which takes you to both the old lounges and the new lounges.

Great pictures thanks for sharing them. Strangely I shall miss the old lounge.

Not too sure about the position of the two TV sets. The location in the old lounge both height and position was better. Also preferred the individual tables in the old lounge pre flight supper dining area.

Pics look lovely thanks for posting.

Let's hope they can do something similar with the lounge at ORD.
