This is a little different, unfortunately, as this is the official lounge in BOS for BA, IB, and CX. QR is supposed to go elsewhere (either AF Lounge or The Club, I don't remember which).

I have Sapphire status expiring May 15th through a status challenge with AA that I unfortunately won't be able to complete.
I am flying out on May 16th in QR J (which does not give access to the BA lounge; they send to AF instead). If I do OLCI on May 15th, when I still have OWS, will I be let into the BA lounge? AKA - does the lounge dragon "check" anything on their systems besides what is printed on the boarding pass?

In this lounge now, and while the food spread is good, the bar is closed (closes at 10:45pm), there is no sparkling wine or champagne, and a total of 3 wines (retail $10-12/bottle) from which to choose. I asked the staff if they had any sparkling wine or champagne, and the response was that they usually have prosecco but "ran out".
Seems like they essentially shut the place down after the last BA flight.

Is there any further update on the rumoured construction of a Concorde Dining area within the BOS lounge?
My understanding is there were original plans for a separate room (akin to what is offered at IAD), but they were dropped due to budget constraints which led to the inferior segregated area for F pax within the main dining area.

No idea if reported elsewhere but did try Google. Juan has left the BA lounge in Boston. Was surprised to hear this news All the best to a superstar that has looked after me so well over the last ten years.
Edit..and whilst I am here. Bring back the m&m's Mr. Cost cutter.

Lots of food reviews during the BA flights but any insight into what food/buffet options exists for the early IB flight that departs at 17:20? Is it full service food if I arrive at lets say 3/4 or will that be too early for the prime dinner hours for the actual BA flights?
I'm flying Iberia J and would like to decide if I should eat dinner at the lounge or on the plane. I'll probably do both tbh but trying to decide the stomach space allocations.

They don't put the full food range out for the Iberia flight. But there again the onboard business class catering is pretty good if you are OK with Spanish led cuisine. I'd have a snack in the lounge but expect to eat on board, it departs a bit too early to go straight to sleep I would say.

Not too exciting, according to my offspring who used it recently. Cold pastries, fruit (wrapped in cling-film, even the bananas). I am not sure if the bar is open, but there is sure to be something for a tipple.

Beverages are the standard lounge fare; bottles of wine, beer and soft drinks available for open consumption and the all-purpose coffee machine in one of the side rooms. The bar was not open.
Overall, I wouldn't go in with high expectations or being very hungry.
