A new enhancement? [membership pack dispatched with no postage paid]

I had to pay 2 to pick up my GC renewal pack as BA did not bother to put postage on it. I wonder if this another customer requested enhancement?

Economising all the way! I had my GGL renewal pack come through the other day - it didn't have any leather bag straps for the bag tags!

You can always refuse to pay, have it returned to sender... and request BA to resend!

Omg. This is becoming ridiculous! I wonder whether I'll receive mine since I'm not a UK resident. Maybe something like 'you can come pick it up in London'.

As it happens I am on zero for my new year so far as I have been avoiding BA due to all the service reductions. Next BA trip is not until April ABZ to MIA in J, with my first BoB experience on the LHR leg. We shall see!

CE should be introduced by then, according to this thread:

I've just had the same thing as the OP.
Gold Renewal without the postage. Cash Outlay of 2 to collect.

In my case it was the 10mile round trip to the sorting office as well that added to the annoyance factor.

And of course, just a membership card, no luggage tags or straps. I guess these have been enhanced away as well.

Quite honestly, I just dont know what to say. Can it sink any lower?

Oh - the pack did include a Golden Ticket, and the invitation to recognise "oustanding customer service" ...

I suspect the postage is an unfortunate mistake but the luggage straps and tags is interesting. Perhaps on request only now.

Certainly fuels the debate that TP runners cost BA nothing!

But how will people be able to look down on others without knowing what tier they are in with lack of bag tags

I'll send you mine if you want them. I don't use them (I don't use any airline tags, in fact - they are too flimsy).

Maybe this saddo has given BA an idea. Dispense with the tags and let people laminate their own.

If it makes you feel better, mine arrived without any bag tags

Maybe between the two of us we have one complete Gold renewal pack!
