Flight + Car Hire Question
 
I know this has been asked and answered before, but I can't for the life of me find the relevant thread...

Are there any issues with booking a return flight with a hire car but not collecting the car? I'm sure the answer was it's OK and no one chases you for a non-collection fee but I just can't find that answer now...

I can second that - when I was a travel agent (many years ago) there was never any trouble with this.

Many times Avis haven't had the class I booked (resulting in a downgrade) which I imagine is related to the the voucher system - I get the impression they have little idea that you have a booking.
