I must be a minority; preferred aircraft in F

Maybe it's emotional or nostalgic, IDK.
But having tried F on the 777, 747 and recently the 380 I still rate the nose of the 747 highest, despite the more cramped space.

I found the 380 quite underwhelming. Huge space compared to 747. But it lacks warmth and feels cheapish. All that unused grey plastic on your side.

777 cabin feels slick, I really like it and seats are bigger than 747 but same design and feeling.

But, with the 747, nothing beats turning left into the nose. There is no galley upfront. It has a special feeling.

789 > 12F 777 > 380 > 747

Fewer people generally means less noise, which is what I value most. I agree with your sentiments on the 380, and the 747 is too 'packed in' for me. 747 is a bit special though, although they are very rare on my routes nowadays!

In row 1 or 2, yes. 4E has never been great however.

The 777 cabin works best for me too, not a fan of the A380 or the 789.

I wouldn't disagree with you

I have only flown F a very small number of times: once was 787-9 to EWR, once was 777 to DXB and the rest have been the 747.

You're right in that I agree that there is something very special about that left turn into the F cabin on the 747.

The 747 F is the only one missing for me although I have been in row 1 in the nose for a QF JFK-LAX (albeit in J) and enjoyed the privacy. Even though the configuration was 2-2 there was still just 14 seats, so the same capacity as BA F.

I agree with you about the 380 F, there's too much 'empty' space. The 777 works well and the 789 is very good as well. I've done 1 flight on each and my order of preference would be 789 > 777 > 380.

I prefer the 77W to the A380 F cabin.

The A380 cabin feels sterile/dark to me and so much wasted space. QF fit the same amount of seats as BA in the lower deck of the A380 F cabin and manage to have lovely wide/comfortable private beds and the cabin feels spacious.

I think the 777 cabin just feels right. It looks quite classy with the lighting/colours and dimensions.

Looking forward to trying the 789 soon.

Happy to be in F on any aircraft but do like rows 1 and 2 on 747s.

Growing to like F on 777s (spacious cabin) and quite liked the 789. Will try it again next month.

Not yet flown on a BA A380.

I think you'll find it's:

1 A/K A380 > 789 window > A380 other window > 789 middle > A380 middle, 777 or 747 F is find another airline

(Based largely on privacy, as that's what the point of F is to me)

2K on the 777 is my favourite. Have my first 789 F trip coming up in 3 weeks so will be interesting to compare 2K on that to the 777. I'd rather stay UD on the 744 tbh.

if 1ak deffo, yes, thats our preferred F. Then a380 row 2 in the middle comes a close second because its just bigger and newer. But again agree, its just doesnt feel cosy.

777 F least favourite, in fact I would avoid and not book a 777. Luckily the routes we fly, we have a choice not to fly a 777.

K side gets less aisle traffic and Row 2 is far enough back from the toilet and galley to be really good for sleeping

thanks Crampedin13A for sharing the tip - as I find the 777 the least appealing, so that will help for any future travel on the 777. Appreciate it!

I've not done the the 380 or 789 but have the done the 747 and all 3 777 configs

I'm probably in the minority of one who's favorite is the 17 seat 777

Feels more airy than the other versions when sat at the back, I really like it and have not noticed any service disadvantages

No problem. It was iirc Swanhunter and Can I help you whose tips on 2K being the best 777F seat quite a few years ago got me to try it and it is my go to on the 777 since. The difference between CW and F is most pronounced on the 777.
