BA BoB "event" at Paddington Station 30th January 2017

There is a promotional BA BoB stand at Paddington Railway Station this morning Monday 30th January 2017.

There is a competition to enter in exchange for your email address, and M&S/BA "goody bags" are being handed out. the prize is some ET flights.

I was lucky enough to receive a 40g packet of (sea) salt and (balsamic) vinegar (hand cooked) crisps and a brownie bar.

I hope you were charged appropriately!

Certainly ballsy. Nothing that will work with seasoned FT commentators, nor with any cynic, but that leaves 80percent of the population for which I can see why it's not bad marketing from both companies.

Executive Club members can now pay using Avios via the British Airways app
Does this need a live data connection to work? Does it work at cruising altitude?

This is one of those occasions where a good, firm slap to the face with a wet fish would be entirely appropriate. If only the people responsible for deciding and implementing BoB were available in person to receive such feedback, it would be a useful exercise.

BA claims that it is an upgrade.

I don't think sushi is one of the options.

Entered the competition and collected my bag of "goodies"
Not very busy at all and eavesdropping it seemed that they hadn't been all day.
There are a couple of BA cabin staff on the stand. When I mentioned that I thought that BoB was a great shame and a blunder they were very tight lipped about their own opinions. They did say they would pass the feed back on as they had been getting quite a lot of similar responses from those that had stopped by.

Of course.
Just like the removal of the amuse bouche in F is to improve the customer's health.

And removal of the flowers in loos is to improve elbow room when washing one's face.
