The obligatory routing via HEL (ARN-HEL-LHR-JFK-XXX) also works for £100 or so more.

A colleague needs to be in HKG on 28th Nov until 4th/5th Dec
He's happy to do EX EU or even get to a destination close to HKG
As always he'd like to maximise TPs if possible for minimum spend in Business class.
Any tips or possible oneworld routes?

There is a Doha to Hong Kong business class return fare on Sri Lankan available for £726 if that helps - it's two 140 point segments I think, so 560 TP if my sums are right. The tricky part is getting to Doha inexpensively. I haven't checked the dates you mention, but I just throw it out there in case it's useful.

The most convenient is probably going to be the AMS-HKG-BKK-AMS on BA which has been going on for quite some time, it's about £1200-£1400 depending on how badly the £ is doing, 400 TPs and includes LHR-HKG direct (or you can visit BKK first and do HKG-LHR direct)

If he can get the dates to work then, the current special offer QR PRG-PVG for £900 would be good too, 560 TPs, easy to get to PRG from the UK, but flights between mainland China and HK can be unreliable in terms of timing due to potential military use of the airspace.

Destin, FL USA - January 2018

I am looking to be in Destin January 12-15, 2018 - so a flying period anytime January 5th to 22nd ish. ( I am mindful that 5th is still in some airlines peak period)

I'm willing to fly ex-EU or ex-INV and into ATL, CLT, MSY, MIA etc.

Oneworld preferred.

Can anyone come up with anything better than £1359, please.

Thanks
