LGW 777 seat map - can't find one? (BA2159)

Hi all,

I'm struggling to find the seat map for a 777 with 52 WT+ seats like below:

Seat Guru has a few versions, but doesn't seem to have this one. Any ideas?

Is there really a gap between 10 and 11 or is there nothing we can do other than hope we can grab row 10 at check-in?

Thanks!

It looks like the map for a refurbished densified B772.
Row 10 is likely to be great for Galley FM, but with no volume control.

Just checked in to BA 227 to ATL tomorrow, will be flying 777-300ER. I was assigned 28A, was happy with that. Can I be moved to another seat if there is a passenger with infant that need a bassinet seat?

Wow, an extra row compared with even the larger 777-300ER, and only three seats shy of the 55 installed on the A380. Might make op-ups a bit harder to come by! We should probably start referring to this as the ‘High-W 772’?

This refit hasn't started yet so thebasource is unlikely to have details until a few months into 2018. For seatguru on past performance will be several years off, since they haven't put previous updates online yet. I think it is unlikely there will be a gap between 10 and 11, it's showing on BA,.com in order to keep rows aligned judging from other cases where this happens. I can't think of a reason to put a gap there and usually they are for exits or bulkheads, neither of which applies. And bulkheads can be good (WTP on 787-8s) or not so good (WT on 787-8s), we will need to wait for real world experiences. Row 10 may be available at T-48 by ringing up or at OLCI. But being LGW the chance of an equipment change between now and departure are quite high, since I assume this is for mid summer.

That is one of the 4 active LGW 777s with a First cabin. It will normally only be used if the passenger load forces that to happen, it since it requires crews to be deployed in an inefficient manner when First is used. thebasource has the best information on seating configuration by registration.

It's possible but unlikely. For starters its unusual that a single traveller will arrive with an unplanned baby at T-24 or less, it is usually the sort of thing which is carefully planned in advance, Or one would hope so. It is possible that a traveller unfamiliar with air travel only discovers on boarding that there are such seats - or more usually a crew member sees a single traveller struggling and makes the suggestion. But if a crew member asks you they will normally half expect you to say no and that's the end of the matter. Having said that, the bulkhead is quite tight on that one, it's probably a good choice if you aren't too tall but row 37 or 29C/29H are better options for legroom, particularly if you have status and it block off the middle seat. Or of course that passenger has status and you get the window seat - it should be possible to exit without disturbing the aisle passenger by twisting around the empty space in front.

It’s actually a relief to see apparent confirmation that WTP isn’t being densified...

Looking at the CW cabin, this now has 1A/B and 1J/K - previously started at 2.

I presume this is at the expense of the forward galley area, so does this mean the front B/J seats will stick out into the aisle further than before?

Thanks for quick reply, CWS. I am not tall, so I kept 28A. But now I've moved to 28J as K are still empty. Let's hope it'll stay empty till boarding is completed

Help identifying seat map

Can anyone help me identify what 777 configuration this is please? Club World starts at Row 1 with four full rows but I’ve never seen a config like this before except if it’s a 4 class when Club World would start at Row 10. Can anyone help please?

It looks suspiciously like the one posted two posts up from yours (ie at https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/29232679-post175.html) which was a response to https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/29231644-post166.html and the ensuing discussion.

I agree - it does. I didn’t post my message on this thread but now it’s been moved I see it.

I have been allocated 1a and b on this configuration. Any tips for this CW cabin? Albeit that no one has flown it yet?
