Worth noting in the Gatters 77S there are no overhead storage bins over the middle seats in rows 1 & 2. Passengers boarding on my flight were rather put out when they discovered they’d have to share the ones on either side of the Club cabin.

Thanks for the info on this and indeed your other posts on your recent LGW CW experience. We are looking forward to ours, in seats 1A and 1B in about 6 weeks.

Regarding the above, did you find plenty of space in the overhead bins after sharing with the middle seats? We will probably only have 1 full sized cabin bag between us and maybe a smaller bag each to keep by the seat.

There is tons of space on the overhead bins on the 777. It isn't an issue in my experience. Just use the one nearest you.

We were in 1J/K with a trolley case and a few bags - that took up the whole of the bin above our seats. 1G stuck his stuff in the one behind ours, which quickly became full along with stuff from window row 2 seats. Worth noting that your small bags need to go up in the overhead too for take off and landing. Looking across to the other side bins looked heavy at the front, due to the lack of middle overhead bins (rows 1/2). As many people know, the 77S fleet at Gatters is a small cabin of 4 rows, not the huge dorms you get coming out of Heathrow.

Hi,
I'm going to fly YVR-LHR on a 77W in WT. Do the seats in the last row recline all the way?
On the LHR-YVR leg, I chose an aisle seat in the last row on the upper deck of the A380, it was comfortable, could recline without disturbing anyone, the seat next to me was empty, the occasional noise from the galley also didn't bother me, so it was a good choice. I was thinking about moving to the last row on the return leg too, but wanted to make sure about the setup. The configuration in the last rows is 2-4-2 instead of 3-4-3, is it more crammy there or more relaxed?
Thanks a lot!

In looking at the flights BA284/BA285 SFO-LHR-SFO on Flightaware it appears that they alternate between the B772 which i believe is the 77L with club world rows 1 - 14 and the B77W. Do you know the seating configuration for the B77W referred to on Flightaware?

There are only 2 configs for BA's 77Ws: refurb'd (77H) and not-refurb'd-yet (77G). It's pretty much a coin toss which one will show up for SFO and it's subject to change right down to the wire until the 77Ws are fully refreshed: as of today there are 8 refurb'd (or delivered as) 77H config frames in service, 5 77Gs in service, and 3 Shrödinger's Craft frames in Cardiff where us forum denizens are assuming they're somewhere between 77G and 77H but we'll only find out when they leave CWL and the waveform collapses.

I'm on BA52 from Seattle to LHR on 27th July next year. I see it's showing as a 4-class 777-200 with densified WT (like G-RAES). The thing I don't understand is the Flyertalk wiki is showing the aircraft is fitted with Thales IFE. I though more recently refurbished aircraft (particularly with densified WT) have the newest Panasonic IFE?

Those frames retained the Thales IFE on reconfiguration as stated. Only the newer LHR 777s (the RR powered -200ERs and the 300ERs) and the LGW 777s have the latest Panasonic IFE system.

If you were in old CW from Gatwick (4 rows) as a family of 4 including a 15 and 13 year old, which seats would work?

4 along the middle or two sets of two? The husband and I generally like to talk… the boys would probably sit and play battleships with each other… I think they would like the middle two, but then we wouldn’t be able to talk!

2 sets of 2 I would say.

You and hubby behind the kids would work well

Flying LHR-JFK onboard a 77W, seat map shows that it has the Club Suites.

Which „window“ seats in fact have no or less windows? I managed to get 8K, it‘s the bulkhead seat, is that a seat that has less / no windows?

Couldn‘t find the info anywhere on the forum, but that probably also has to do with not being sure which term to search

Thanks!

I've got 77W as the aircraft type in the seating plan for a flight from LHR to Chicago next April. The F and J seat maps for this flight currently match up to a 777-300ER (77H):

https://www.aerolopa.com/ba-type-77h

Looks like you've got one window rather than two and you'll need to lean forward from your seat in order to see out of it.
