Row 5 on 77M

Any chance that row 5 on the 77M has larger footwells than other rows?

I think someone else has mentioned this previously but I can’t remember the thread. The answer to your question, if I recall it correctly, is yes they are slightly wider at all CS bulkheads.

I'm off to JFK on Monday on a 773, it's my first trip in the new extra comfy 10 abreast Y cabin and am a little nervous about how badly squeezed I'm going to be (being a largish chap). I'm currently in 26H, exit row aisle which in pre-densified days was fine but I'm concerned about how it is going to be with the restricted width of the exit on top of the restricted width of more seats than the cabin is designed for. Anyone got any experiences down the back of the new 777 cabins that can be shared?

First time flying the 777 F 14 seater, any suggestions for the best row for a pair? I actually thought it was supposed to be the new First suite with doors, flying BA268 LAX-LHR in Dec. Hopefully might have changed by then.

Hi
Do you want to talk during the flight or are you happy sitting on your own ( you can still use the buddy seat for dining iirc). Any of the centre pairs should be good. if you want to chat.

Regards

I am fine with sitting on my own, but my friend wants to chat Row 2 is taken now, so is Row 1 or Row 3 better for privacy?

There is no 3EF, all the seats have the same amount of privacy.

yeah sorry, i meant 4EF which is technically Row 3 for me think from the seatmap that the toilet is at the back of the cabin so we will probably go for row 1.

thanks for all the input!

Plane change tomorrow

I have a question about a possible plane change tomorrow for my flight from BOS to LHR (flight 212). I originally booked F a few months ago, paid, not award. Then the plane changed twice and no F cabin. Tonight I got an alert from EF that there is a plane change, the seat map shows the 14 seats for F on 777-300. But I already had checked in online. It looks like those F seats are filled, but my seat numbers are in CW in the old 2-4-2 configuration. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is in fact an F cabin on that flight or is EF wrong? If there is an F cabin did I somehow lose my original seats? Thanks

So they have put an aircraft on the service which has a First cabin, but it's going to be Flub (for which there is a special thread)- so some people will be sat there but will receive Club meals and service standard, not First. That is contingent on having to use First seating, which isn't clear to me to be needed. If they can get everyone into CW they will do so and those sat there will be moved back. And that's a distinct possibility at the moment. First - as a brand - is not reinstated at short notice, even though it probably would seem the right thing to do in your circumstances.

Thank you for the information. I did call BA this morning and they confirmed there was no F cabin on flight 212. I did not ask about the seating since I was not thinking that they would have an F area but serve CW. Learn something new. We will have a great trip anyway, just would have been a nice surprise. It was disappointing to go from F to CS then to CW all in the space of a few months.

Well I tried at check in to see if the seats were available since I had paid for F but no luck they assigned to passengers with status . I will just get a refund when the trip is done.

Apologies, as I have posted this in another 777 thread as well!

Please could I have some advice on the best seats on the 777 in club suite? I’m not super super au fait but this is a 777 with no first and club starts from row 1. I can see all seats available aside from 1E and 1F. We are a couple but prefer window seats for the view. I’m BA bronze so shouldn’t be able to select any seat for free this far in advance but I think they broke something when they rebooked our flights so want to make the most of this power!

I should say this is for LHR to CPT, so would appreciate any advice on which side is best for the view too
