Thanks for the helpful image. Do you remember if the bulge from the door was a problem for the window seat passenger?

I'm 5'8 and I've never had a problem with it, and I doubt you would unless you were very very tall, as I wasn't exactly bumping against it. It does mean there's a bit of a draft, though, so you might want to cover up.

No, it's a non issue however you can get (1) a slight draft as mentioned - although I have a wife of a certain age who is running a little warm and quite likes it and (2) it is by the loo of course.

Other plus points is that your first to get fed and first to get some sleep. Pack your first class eye masks and drop a tablet and youre bound to get 4 or 5 hours on the way home.

The last thing to note is that the cabin is tight. The last few times we have had a blocked seat and spread out over the three. If there is someone next to you in ecomony then I would reccomend eating one handed. I tend to choose the J&K on HJK side as I am right handed and can fork it in easily..

To be honest it's not great in Economy on these frames but if you can get two side seats in that front row with an empty middle seat it's a very very pleasurable flight.

Enjoy Barbados, we are there in January too (flying club this time)

Apologies if been asked before, but I'm flying club suite soon (first time in J! the only BA cabin i've never taken oddly enough) and does anyone know if the row 5 bulkhead seats in J are any different? e.g for qatar the footwells for the bulkhead are larger than regular J seats. Would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the tips sunshinebob , mine usually runs cold, so I guess that's me sitting by the door! If you're flying back to Gatwick on the 11th Jan, try not to look too smug as we trudge past you on our way to row 32 and make sure you send some champagne back!

5A and 6A were great seats and we had an amazing view flying over the Maldives. The small cabin was very private and more spacious than I was expecting, so very pleased with that. However it was a bit noisy in the galley behind us until lights went out and the food was dreadful, reminiscent of free economy meals from the old days - very disappointed, not usual BA business class standard 😕

Now choosing way back seats and going for a middle pair so we can chat, everything from 9 to 15 is free, so plenty of choice (and a week before flying, so don't have to pay either!) - any recommendations?

We’ve been changed from a 77H to 77M, travelling in WT+, any seat recommendations? At the moment all seats except front row are available. Can see from the guide that it’s the 2010 WT+ cabin.

Are they gonna be the Royal Blue seats or the newer Navy?
Planning to sleep so want best option really.

Hello.
I am flying on a 77M in J. Flying with partner and all front small cabin seats taken.
Would 10 E/K be the best choice, is row 8 and 9 too near the loos/galley (we want to be able to talk to each other during the whole flight)
Also, is anyone able to tell me if F was ever for sale on this route. (LHR-YYZ 11th Nov BA0093)
Seems od to fly with a F cabin but not sell any F seats

Thank you

My wife and I have a similar trip, where we are flying from LHR to NAS in January. We are on the 777 with the new layout, with rows 1&2 unavailable, I believe they are saved for GCH until nearer departure. I have reserved 7&8K on outbound, as most seats in this section sold. I am happy with 8K on daytime flight , but on the return we have opted for 6F&K. In order to have two suits in the middle, we’d have to go into the larger section and I probably disturb my wine too much anyway!

I think we are on different 77s then
row 1 and 2 are First on my flight (thought not first sold on the flight). then 5-8 are mini cabin (all booked out) and then 9-17 the main CSW cabin.

I didn't know if during a day flight if row 9 (front of large cabin) would get noise and people walking by going to the galley more than lets say row 11. (3 rows back)

No, I believe we are on the same aircraft type. Rows 1 and 2 are first, but not currently being sold, 3 and 4 don’t exist and then the small cabin up to row 8 (single seat which I am in) separated by the larger cabin by galley and toilets. I am happy to be in that seat on a day flight, so I’m close to my wife, but not too close that she doesn’t get any peace!

I had a flick through here but go lost. I'm seeing a 777 layout for CPT in April that shows 5 rows of CS in front cabin and 5 behind the divide. 3-7 up front and 10-14 back. Can't work out what version this is as doesn't match aeroLopa.

I'm seeing the same on a 777 to LAS, and others have reported this as well. ExpertFlyer shows the 3 class 777 operating it with CS, so this looks to be a bug in BA. I've seen it show rows 1-14, then the next day 5-14, then the next day 2-14, and now 3-14
