I'm in the 77J 48J 777-200 - any tips on the best seat in CW? Cabin is open. Couldn't find any definitive answers here!

Any recommendations for the 77Z in First? Flying LHR-DEL and looking to maximise peace & quiet.

I have booked 1A, but 1K seems like it might be quieter with less foot traffic since there are 2 less seats on that side? I note it is blocked but not occupied.

Or would 4A tend to be quieter?

My next booking in F on that configuration is in a couple of weeks time on that very route but in reverse. 1A is my seat of choice and I have never had reason to regret it. Having said that, I can sleep anywhere and don't get disturbed by much anyway.

Personally I'd go for 2K but old IFE if I remember right as the 12F planes haven't been refurbished. Did this on a trip to Australia a few years ago and it's a little further back from the galley too. :)

Interesting. Is 3k/4k pilot rest? i.e. normal seats with curtains, or is it more a walled off area?

The 77J is an old 3 class plane I believe (and as per the Wiki) Been on it a few times but not for years but the front cabin is good but others report that they like the smaller mini cabin. I think at present it plies the EZE/BKK routes and one other which I can't recall.

I'm sure 5 A/K have a window blank but the other direct aisle window seats, 10 A/K don't.

5 A/K

IIRC it's still a crew rest area. The area behind is just a space, that's all. More photos but more in the link above if that helps.

Thanks, these are helpful!

Any idea why they removed the two seats behind? Seems rather strange!

I'm not 100% sure re the answer to that or if they were like that originally. Paging @Can I help you or anyone who knows?

I'm assuming when the F cabin was refitted/reconfigured to make the crew rest area that there wasn't enough space to fit even 1 so left it 'blank'? Just an assumption though.

Thanks! Yes, flying to BKK. Really hoping this aircraft gets swapped out with a different one by 2021 as this is probably the worst of the lot (and I hate 777s anyway)....in an ideal world they'd put A350 on!

They only removed 3K and 4K to fit the flight crew bunk unit, unfortunately removing only one seat didn’t give enough space so that is why there is a gap between 2K and the unit.

I'd be interested in both your views after your flights as our PHL flight in June has just been changed to this configuration, We've flown F on the 789 and the 8 seat cabin felt very private but, as we all know, the crew make or break the experience (o/n out was meh, day time home was fabulous).

Hi all,

We've just booked onto a LHR to JFK on Club Suite.

We're super keep on front mini cabin but the ideal seats aren't available. From the choice of what we have, are these seats ok? We're a little worried about row 8 being too close to curtain and galley.

We would prefer to both have window seats.

Cheers

Having done a couple of these on the same route I would move from row 8 personally. Whilst it’s no where near as close to the galley as the map suggests I would go further back if there is availability. Then it’s personal preference on whether it’s window or middle. I thought the middle seats looked pretty good for couples. The window seats were pretty private as the seat in front curves in front of you to block off parallel views. That said rows 5 and 9 seemed easier to have a more direct view to left or right though if that’s important to you.

77J Club seating

Hi All,
RE: 77J in Club World.
Does anyone have any thoughts about a couple both booking two window seats, one behind the other. My OH and I have a 13 hour sector from EZE-LHR which, although a day flight initially (13:30 departure), won't have much to look at from the windows! However, we'll both work and watch movies, plus sleep. Is the privacy of the window seats noticeably better than being in an aisle? Is there any way to discreetly say the odd word to one another over the divider without causing a nuisance or inconveniencing fellow guests?
We have a wide choice at the moment. I was wondering about 10&11K, for example.
Also, anyone know what 'upgraded TES' IFE is like?
