777 Business Seats (4 Class)
Hey,
Myself and my wife have had an aircraft change from JFK to Heathrow. Was UD 747 but now 777.
What seats are the best in your opinion in J? Start row 10.
We're thinking about a middle pair. Any good?
Thanks

Lots of views here in an existing thread and post 331
Seating guide: Boeing 777
If MMB has rows 10-16 it's a 777-300 otherwise it's a 777-200 (10-15)

Hi eugegall, personally I'd go for 11J/K, still near the front as 10 has a masaligned window (not wholly) and row 12 has a window blank (as per the photo in post 331, plus speaking from personal experience too)
Much easier to see/talk in the ying/yang set up than the two seats in the middle, plus a window for the odd nice view perhaps but as always on Flyertalk YMMV.
There's also quite a few CW 777-200 videos on you tube which may help too.

Night flight I go with a middle pair. It appears more spacious and private I find. Any row is much the same, although while the last row is nice to have to not stepover chances are of getting asked to move or being surrounded by crying babies is higher.

Apologies if this has been covered before but with 28 pages I might have missed this...
We're travelling to/from Cancun next year from Gatwick on a refurbed (barring anything unexpected) 777 in WTP.
What side is the toilet on? I'd assumed from the BA Source that it's on the GJK side of the cabin.
We've chosen 11A/B both outbound and Inbound but would like to avoid the likely queue for the single loo with this now increased cabin size.
Also, although 10A and 10K are currently blocked (presumably for status holders), in the event I could snag a pair in row 10 at T-71:59:59 are these seats by the bulkhead comfortable enough to stretch out and sleep?
I'm more bothered about the inbound as I never sleep long haul on the way out but my days of drinking the trolley dry both ways are sadly now behind me.
TIA

You could try and snag them if they become available at T-72 hours but they could be blocked even up until the day of the flight itself or of course might get occupied with a baby.
There's not a lot of information out there with the photo specifics of the cabin as far as I can see. I'd go for seats 11 J/K or 12 J/K. It's not easy to cross over the bulkhead (11 DEFK) without irking them the front middle WTP row do then you'd have to walk back to the Y loo a fair bit down. WTP is quite easy to stretch out assuming your an extremely tall person. We need more photos of these cabins and I am sure through time they will come.

That's one of the 3 'A' market 777s that have 17 F seats. These tend to do some of the shorter East coast or middle east sectors.
It's slightly odd flying on them compared to the regular 12/14F aircraft. The cabin feels a bit on the big side when walking about.

I have booked our first 2-4-1 to BKK from LHR next November - Our flight is on a 777 with 3 classes. We're flying CW.
I've booked 2A & 2B for us. Firstly would this be a good choice? The CW cabin has 7 rows so would the smaller two row cabin at the back be better?
Also are we looking to fly a refurbished aircraft or one with an old IFE system - I know refurbishment is coming but will it be between now and Nov 19
Many thanks

Economy exit row - avoid seats A & K
A few weeks ago I sat in 26K in a 4-class 777-200 LGW-UVF. Apart from being very cold throughout the flight I was greeted with a shower of water gushing from the ceiling on touchdown in St Lucia. The deceleration pushed condensation water from the length of the cabin forward and through the gaps in the panel just above 26K.
Last week I was in 26A on a similar aircraft from LHR-JFK. Upon push back from the gate I encountered dripping from the ceiling which intensified whilst taxing and take off and continued through the climb. As GCH Fly had kept 26B free, but rather annoyingly CC moved a tall chap from further back into the seat, so I could not escape the shower by moving across. The CSD moved me temporarily to 40D, right at the back, which crew used for storage (E & F was full of their stuff). This is possibly the worst seat on the 777 with the toilets behind, no recline, and the person in front having their seat reclined straight after take off. I was able to return after half an hour when the water flow stopped. The seat cushion was damp, but as exit row seats have a different design, they can't accept the cushions from other seats. I was given a blanket to sit on for the remaining 7 hours as all other exit row and bulk head seats were taken. There were a number of empty seats on the other side of the curtain in WT+, but my request to have a seat which has both leg room and a dry cushion further forward on the aircraft was declined with a laughter. The CC suggested I email customer services, but I'm unsure what a reasonable amount of Avios would be to ask for. As a note, my colleague, who travelled on a separate PNR and no status paid £105 for his exit row seat (26C).

Our LHR-JFK flight for next summer has just been changed from a 747 to a 777 - it's our first First. I'm disappointed to not be right in the nose on the 747, but hey ho. Anyway, my wife is keen for us to sit together rather than at window seats. At the moment, 1E/F, 2E/F and 4E/F are available. Can anyone recommend the best pair? Or indeed offer a reason that I can share about why it would be best to be at the window?!

Also in the E/F seats you cant really see each other very easily and you are probably both on IFE anyway. You could always compromise and go with an A/E or F/K pairing so you get window and she doesn't but then you have the aisle gap but better than two K or A seats.

Not sure what side the toilet is on but looks like the J/K side and nothing on MMB showing a front loo but I am sure there is on the J/K side. Row 10 A/E/F/K are allocated bassinet positions. The A and K seats also have a window blank and if you see this video (ignore it's a 777-300, it's definitely a LGW 777-200) at 0:17 and 1:44 to 1:47 you can see the cabin.
