What do you miss on BA before it was 'enhanced'?

As a shareholder and long term (30years) flyer with BA interested to see what others remember and miss.

I'll start it off

Colour Boarding Cards
Paper book timetables
Royal Doulton in Club
Bistro Menu in F
BGA '99 in F
Freshly cooked eggs for breakfast in F
Hospitality Tents at Taste of London
Far superior washbags in F and J
The Rocket....
CE seats
B744 with F, LHR-MRU
First and Club bag tags (don't miss it that much, but nice touch)
Ex-TIP (if allowed to mention that one!)
BA9 to SYD not just BKK

To mention a few....

I remember GB Airways flights to Faro on new A321s, £200 or so return in CE used to get you a starter/main/cheese with everything served by hand if you got the right purser, port to go with the cheese, champagne from full size bottles of Charles Heidsieck.

Then it all went mainline and we got Monopiss and 20 year old 737s.

I also miss Bolly GA in the F lounge.

I remember the days when I could book the lowest prevailing Euro Traveller fare, I could make changes or cancel it if it were an award ticket at no charge, check a bag at no charge, select a seat at no charge, enjoy a nice vintage Bollinger Grand Année and Tanqueray Ten, in an ad-free lounge without having people trying to sell me tat, priority board without Bronze and Rubys clogging up the queue, without being asked to wrap a stupid yellow tag around my single-piece small briefcase, sit in a seat with significantly more width and more pitch than the current seat, in the front row of ET so a blocked middle, be fed (quite substantially in the case of longer routes), and watered with unlimited alcoholic beverages at no charge.

None of the above is now possible.

Free booze in ET. The nail in the coffin for me.

UuA before it became the 'price difference'.
Not directly related and enhanced some time ago, the 'light meal' in Y as the second meal option for East coast TATL....I try not to do Y with BA on this route and now opt for AA.

Free seats
Nice Band 4 meals.

All of this for 70 GBP LHR-ATH fare a few years back!

Now it can still be 70 GBP but,

No luggage,
No seats,
no meals = )

However, no point in crying. Change airlines and move on.

First Class Tickets to the US from 100K miles return and Concorde return for 125K miles + there were loads of promotions.

When Oneworld first came out they offered 100K miles for visiting the major continents. I duly booked a F RTW ex BCN which was only abut 2.5K in those days and went LHR-JNB-PER-SYD-AKL-EZE-LGW. The flying earned loads of miles so was a great way to bum around the world in F and end up with a free Concorde ticket at the end of it!
