Indeed, there must be an underlying psychological inferiority complex disorder if you're going to laminate a First luggage tag to feel important. No way that actually provides any other benefit that just saying "I travelled in First once" (Or I picked up a F luggage tag from the floor once).

Had a weird experience in KUL yesterday. Boarding a TG (MH codeshare) 747 to BKK, they called business, and a c.50 year old guy pushed through the queue waving his BA gold card. When the gate agents pointed out it was a TG flight, he exclaimed "it's a Oneworld airport! Top tier BA should have priority", and got sent to the back of the now extremely long Y line.

A phone conversation overheard (difficult not to) in the EDI lounge yesterday evening. The caller had just been escorted into the lounge a little worse for wear and called his other half to explain why he was going to be late arriving at LHR.
"The Captain refused to fly me and I was escorted from my seat on the plane. I explained that I was Gold but the Captain said it was irrelevant, I still wasn't flying. It was so embarrassing."

I'm owning my up to my [accdental] DYKWIA behaviour at SVG this afternoon . The BP scanner quite rightly said 'no' but I was convinced it was faulty and beckoned the staffer to let me through because I was traveling J on BA, which he did quite courteously.
I had completely forgotten there was no fast track for BA pax.

I can perhaps see how sometimes this might be useful. Flew back from RUH on EK the other day (sat in the back unfortunately on this short hop) and was prevented from heading to the immigration queue to get my exit stamp by a gentleman who told me I needed some tags on my hand luggage. Cue me returning to the check in desk begging for a couple of tags, only to have the agent tell me that my small overnighter and rucksack is beyond that which is allowed for carry on as they are over the 8kg allowance (which is never an issue ex-DXB). I did manage to get through with them both without checking (eventually) but only after I pleaded my case as an EK GCH.
I would have avoided all of this if I just had some blue business luggage tags I could have put on my carryon and rucksack...
