Al Gore on BA991 from TXL-LHR this morning who I totally failed to recognise.
He was escorted to the front of the security queue and dumped in front of me, wife and daughter. He was charming, asking if we wanted to go first, which we declined. Then was totally unprepared for security screening but very polite and apologetic about it all!

I'm glad that he flies commercial, not a private jet. Would have been better if he took the train but he probably doesn't have the time!

Armie Hammer (Man from UNCLE) and Elizabeth Chambers in lounge at FCO and on board flight FCO-LHR with youngest child, 6 month old Ford. Delightful family without any presumptions, had a lovely chat with them.

Sir Rocco Forte earlier today in 1F on ARN-LHR. Was very pleasant and quiet, was met at the door by a ground manager but then he is a Premier.

Forgot to say at the time, but a rare VIP sighting of Geoffrey from rainbow on the BA2645 Malta to Gatwick in late June. alas no sign of Zippy, George or Bungle.
