If you're looking for food, try the Qantas Lounge, especially the made to order items (usually a choice of two). I've enjoyed some nice pleasant surprises in there over the last few years.

Photo guides text updated with new dishes - albeit no photos of the new dishes so if anyone would like to try them and take photos I would be very grateful.

Seems a bit stingy that they've put the mac and cheese and the roasted cauliflower on both menus!

The February menu is very uninspiring and fairly obviously cheap to provide. Very sad that MH serve steak in their first lounge to OWEs but BA can't stretch to it for F passengers. I do find that the only things I really want to order in the CCR are the (off menu after breakfast) smoked salmon and the cheese plate. As I'm here until BA31 boards, I think I'll just have to have double helpings!

Then ask for them! My wife almost always orders a smoked salmon salad.

I am not back in the CCR for a couple of weeks but will order and photograph any items that have not yet had photos posted.

It won't be. When you are there if you would be kind enough to take a photo of the menu for our new Concorde Dining/Bar topic, that would be greatly appreciated. I won't be back there until next month.

I don't know if this is just temporary slackness, but the bar man said he had no wine list and only the indifferent South African wine on display. When I asked for French wine, a very nice bottle of 2009 Pessac Leognan was offered! Said bottle has now appeared in the rack on the bar. I'll say one thing for BA vs CX: The quality of wine in the CCR easily outstrips that of Pier F.

My wife & I will be travelling BA F in March.
Can anyone inform me what times each CCR/GF menu is available please?
(I'll be hungry as flying BA domestic (UK-Business class whatever that means) into LHR and avoiding BoB!)
Or can I order whatever food I wish at any time? (I suspect not!)
As a virgin to this F travel, should I stick with CCR or is GF lounge worth a visit for anything specific?
Also - as our flight is at 2pm-ish, what are the premium drinks of choice these days?
Thank you!

In the CCR the breakfast menu is available until midday and rest of the day & lounge menu available thereafter. There is a little leeway either side by say 30 minutes or so. The staff tend to start swapping the menus after 11.45am.
The February menus are in post #1, and there is a photo guide linked to in the wiki. By the time we get to March there will be a new rest of the day & lounge menu which will have a few changes from the current one, details will be posted on here in early March.
My personal view would be to stay in the CCR, I don't go in the GF unless I am meeting someone else. I am sure some may advise otherwise.
Current wine menu is here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/27791143-post328.html
Cocktail menu is here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/27768564-post125.html
LPGS is very nice of course. Other than that try the cocktails if you like them - the bar staff will do any cocktails not on the menu if they have the ingredients.
