BASEL to LHR no AUP
BASEL - asked about an AUP on the 21.55 BA 749 this evening. I had been offered CHF139 online.
The guy at the desk, who appeared to be the supervisor, gave e a quote of CHF300+ i.e. fare difference. I asked if Basel offered AUP's and he said no, is this really the case?

I'm guessing if I check in through the mobile app I can't then go to the desk and ask for an upgrade? Basic question I know, but...!
I'm thinking about upgrading CW->F on GRU->LHR. Haven't seen any prices on here for that route - would anyone know roughly how much it might be?

I have an upcoming flight SAN-LHR, but I am connecting in SAN from LAX on AA. Would it be possible to check with BA at LAX about upgrade possibilities on the SAN-LHR flight or is that something only the staff at SAN would handle?

How to get an AUP
They are only available on the day of travel from the airport. You cannot ring up for them or arrange it in advance. It is subject to availability of both seats and facilities at the airport concerned

So in this instance you have to ask at SAN in answer to your question.

ORD-LHR, CW to F - $940 proactively offered to solo travelers in the lounge, provided upon request at check-in. 2 seats available so declined as we were 4.
