POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner (example from MMB below). You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.
Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe
A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Multiple prices indicate a range of fares are on offer. Note that LCY prices currently seem to be on a different basis to LGW and LHR (cheaper, in other words).

Oh my! This is rather a good deal. I do this route frequently and have never seen POUG prices that low! Even with the old WTP product I'd take the UPG for that price!
It does seem that we always get the older cabins now, almost religiously, although we have traditionally been very fortunate.

Just reading the wiki and a little confused as it mentions this sometimes works with Avios. I have an alert on a WTP to Business LAS>LON next month. If a seat becomes available will it potentially offer this through the MMB section and if so can i do it online ?
If not, and there is a seat but its "out of hours" is there a way to upgrade during the early hours of the morning online ?

Hello all, may I seek all your advice on the possibility of having POUG on a return trip involving Asia to Europe via London, all in the same booking. A bit confused as ithe wiki says connecting flights are not likely to get one, yet it’s generally open for UK-US flights. Thanks!

In the past I’ve benefited from a £49 POUG on ba902 Lhr/FRA on a Sunday. Does anyone know if that’s the same cost for any Sunday flights to FRA, as I know it’s more expensive during the week?
Thanks

Offered (and taken) £119 for LHR-MRS at OLCI. Partly for the TP, partly to make sure I get something more than risking the availability of an M&S bacon roll on an 07:20 flight! Wiki updated.
BTW, what’s the etiquette — it is OK just to silently update the wiki with an updated price, or should there always be an accompanying post in the thread?

Offered £89 for NAP-LGW (flying CE on the outbound leg). On the fence about taking it. End of membership year coming up and not close to making silver, so TPs are of little use. Lounge in NAP is, erm, not great.
...buuut flight is just about long enough that the service on board has some appeal.

LHR - PMI offering £139 p.p. June flight (note they've just changed this to an A320 with 12 rows of CE so guess they have more seats to sell vs original scheduled aircraft)
LHR - GLA offering £69 p.p. August flight

Hello all, may I seek all your advice on the possibility of having POUG on a return trip involving Asia to Europe via London, all in the same booking. A bit confused as ithe wiki says connecting flights are not likely to get one, yet it’s generally open for UK-US flights. Thanks!

Would a part pay with Avios to reduce the cash fare paid impact the offer of a POUG?
(I know part pay is poor use of avios but there is no RFS award availability so my logic is the avios I would have happily spent on the RFS, plus the avios I will now earn on a cash fare, will leave me avios neutral if I part pay, and reduce my cash outlay).
