2017 POUG rate tracker

Please add your own successful results to the follow list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you. Please delete any figures from 2017 or earlier if you have a 2018 price. Previous data lives on via post 2.

UPDATED TO: Post #418

POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner (example from MMB below). You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.

Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe
A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Multiple prices indicate a range of fares are on offer. Note that LCY prices currently seem to be on a different basis to LGW and LHR (cheaper, in other words).

That is an excellent price.

Sorry, just realised I posted this in the wrong thread. This was an AUP offer not a POUG offer.

Hkg - Lhr WT+ to CW 697 for flight mid June
I declined
(for info paid 1,100 for the WT+ return)

Edit to add: for curiosity I looked at what a CW seat was for that sector, it's selling for 2,474 (R class) as part of a return priced at 5.5K. I guess buying WTP then POUG for one flight would be a saving of about 60% of the price of CW.

Thanks for the data point.

I have updated the date, although the same price was available last year.

Good to see it has not increased! A reasonable price, especially for a passenger without Lounge access, keen on additional TPs and/or wanting to enjoy a snack and some drinks.

LHR/FRA 109 each way. Flight is less than two weeks away. Was hoping for something much more reasonably priced.

GIB-LHR offered for 149. I really wanted a POUG on this flight... but at that price I'm not sure if I'll take it!

LHR-HKG WTP to CW 820 2.5 weeks before travel. I think not.

Was that a POUG marked as such (ie a special offer), or just the normal fare rules upgrade? The number looks consistent with the latter rather than the former.

"This is a Limited Special Offer" is what it says on the page. Adding up base fare for WTP and inbound and outbound POUG it's about 2.6 K total. Alas the budget isn't there for this trip, maybe if it drops a bit closer to the time.
