Rules of this meet-up thread
1) Use this thread to mention you will be travelling through an airport such as LHR T5 on a given time and date. You can also mention non airport locations if you wish. A brief sentence or two will do, but please use this wiki format:
5-May-2016 / 1700-1900 / LHR T5 landside / corporate-wage-slave / May be late arriving due to connections
2) Do NOT mention lounge guesting, hosting or requesting in the wiki or thread. Just say you'll be (e.g.) airside at T5 - you can arrange the meeting point via Private Message. And please don't use PM to solicit a lounge invitation either!
3) Edit the wiki entry if you can, but if you cannot edit it one of the many volunteers here will happily do it for you, just post your information below in the above format, be sure to include date, time and location. You can edit wikis after 90 days and 90 posts.

Was really good to meet and chat with @Vinotraveller tonight (as well as anothe unnamed FTt). I really recommend stretching out the hand of friendship to fellow travellers. It can make a solitary airport experience enjoyable and fascinating.

My flight afterwards was rather interesting. BA1494 LHR-GLA made a 1 hour stop in Prestwick due to the temporary closure of Glasgow Airport. I will always remember the party atmosphere that ensued in the front of the plane and also the 15 minute PIK-GLA sector which will be my shortest ever BA flight.

It's a long story, but the gist is, focus on meeting up with other FTs rather than on who can guest whom into whatever lounge. If it ends up that one person guests another into a nicer lounge, that's fine, though in my opinion, it really should be because you two want to talk to each other, rather than guesting someone in and then going your separate ways. At least I feel that's more within the spirit of the guesting benefit.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a meeting place at T5? I'm flying AUS-LHR tonight and miffSC is flying ATL-LHR. The flights are due to arrive at about the same time. We'd like to meet and go to a lounge together before our LHR-PVG flight tomorrow afternoon.
I was thinking near the escalator up to priority security, but open to other suggestions.
Also--if anyone will be at LHR tomorrow, I think we'll be in the F lounge. She's an AA EXP (Emerald), so should be able to guest me in there (I've only been to the galleries lounge as AA Plat/sapphire). Our info is already in the Wikipost, and also for our return flights next week.
