NYE
To my fellow BAEC globetrotters, make me jealous, where are you spending your NYE? Anyone get any good redemption tickets for it?
Am thinking of plans for next year and what to spend my Avios on.

We will be on a boat on Sydney harbour for the big event, courtesy of our first ex-EU trip.
Thanks to all contributors who have freely given their advice on here.
Happy New Year to everyone, may it be peaceful and travel frustration free.

In NYC - been here (USA not necessarily NY) since early December enjoying friends and family time.
Back to the UK on 4th which should be just about enough time to get over the New Years party which is expected to go on until well into New Years Day - last years ended at about 10am, hence the long recovery time allowed.

We have been spending the last 10 years away for every NYE - SYD & CPT the past two years. We decided to stay in London this year to watch the fireworks from the balcony, but it seems that the fog may get in the way!!

Returned to LHR today from an ex-EU to HKG, DPS and CTU; with fog cancellation of my back-to-back connection at MXP on the return and a refund for the cancelled re-positioning sector.
Special thanks to the cheap-J and F thread for enlightening me to the CTU routing (which is kicking the can in 2 weeks) and back-to-back connections DB to know routing through FCO and MXP.
Will enjoy NYE in London.
