I'm not that IT literate but searched for brightcloud & they seem legit.
Has anyone had this happen to them & can anyone offer advice please?I'm very reticent to click on the link they provide

There is a thread on the Forum about this, but I cannot remember what it was called.

I believe there is a WhiteList, and you just need to be added back onto it.

I'm on mobile, otherwise I'd happily search it for you.

It's legit. Fill out the form and they'll check and permit your IP if everything looks ok.

The problem is if you share your public IP with others, so someone else may have done something which has generated the block.

Is it a whitelist you need adding to? Or a blacklist you need removing from?

BA would whitelist you, Brightcloud would remove you from the blacklist.

However if you ask BA, you'll still be blocked from all other sites that use Brightcloud. Better to go direct.

Filled out the requested Brightcloud from & was emailed saying they'll review it & get back to me in 24-48 hours.
Rang BA & was put through to someone who "systems" were not working.
This is maybe the 3rd time this year that I've spoken to the Indian call centre & their systems are not working.
I'm guessing that they have a bank of call-services reps there who's job is just to apologize profusely, say that they'll report it & someone will get back to me.
I'm tired of the company now & for the first time will look to try another airline on the route that I use.
The way my complaints are handled is appalling & my business would fail if I treated my customers in same manner.

I've had that excuse 3 times in the last fortnight with the UK call centre. Although in each case they persevered and did what they needed to. They sounded pretty fed up of it themselves, so perhaps there is a genuine IT issue at the moment?

"Systems" means wetware.

I'm now blocked and it's so irritating as I need to book some flights. I did report my IP to be whitelisted, got an email that this has been done, but no. Still blocked.

No, I gave up and booked Lufthansa. I will check in a few days if I'm still blocked.

I've always used CCleaner and then another browser. Works for me.

I've had the same problem as Lobengula, and so far the same lack of access despite having the email from Brightcloud.

This keeps happening to me...

I regularly access BA.com from Starbucks in Indonesia. Obviously the IP address that gets assigned is dynamic so although last week I reported my IP address as 'safe', I encountered the same problem again today. Tedious and poorly executed by BA. Surely there must be some other means of protection? It's never happened with any other airline site I visit.
