Just to add a data point - when flying back from MAD last Sunday we were able to select 2EF on the odd-looking seatmap, and that's where we ended up in the cabin, the middle pair of F seats in row 2 - so can't speak to what happens if you pick the virtual seats (FLUB was full though)

B777 seat configuration & and choice

I can chose Row 2 & 4 but once I save the choice I lost the seat. Look like I can’t chose them ! So back in row 10! B777-300 4 classes

which route are you on? Is it a Madrid flight! If so, this wouldn't be abnormal.

That's Flub for you. See sundry threads on that very topic by searching for "Flub". I would go for row 16. Everyone goes to the front so you may get an empty seat next to you. Only downside to 16 are the view is a bit restricted (photos in the main 777 thread) and the nearby WC may be a distraction for some, if you have time to worry about this on a short hop.

OK, did take a while to understand Flub !
Is there a risk to be downgraded to PE if I choose F ?
We are a family of 4.

Thank you

No, and if Club World stays empty you will probably be able to get good seats at some point anyway. Just do not print or App your boarding pass until you are happy with the seats. But if there is enough seating in CW then Flub won't be used. The main risk is that if you don't select the CW seats now then you could be split into two separate seating areas. But you won't end up in WTP.

Does anyone know why there has been a switch of aircraft from the 777 to A321 for the BA460 25/04?
Thanks,

Am I the only person who, whenever seeing this thread pop up, is always reminded of the sub-title to the book Mostly Harmless: "The fifth book in the increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhikers Trilogy"?

Yes. Looking like a A321neo G-NEOP. Subject to change of course.
