Happened to me on AGP-LGW couple of years ago. Love it when that happens. 😃

I am flying BA in F class from ORD to LHR and onward to MAD on BA460, The seatmap is showing that the plane is 777 and it is operating with F cabin, however, it is blocked.
Will the F cabin open on the start of my trip from ORD and when I do the OLCI?

It depends if the CW cabin is 100% full, if it isn’t the First cabin will remain close off, what date are you travelling?
Can I help you is offline

Worth reading this and if you google FLUB Flyertalk BA there are loads of threads on this. The F cabin remains closed unless J is oversold/seated but there have been exceptions where folks have managed to get their seats to stick.

Wondering if anyone can help. I’m flying to MAD with Mrs dca and Little Mstr Dca in a couple of days time. CW seats confirmed in row 10, I’ve been watching diligently in case F were to open up.

Looking just now a row 4 has appeared! However it’s showing as 8 seats wide. What does that mean?! Should we move from Row 10 and take 3 seats in row 4??

it's possibly a bug with the seat map. I had something similar the other week and the map was as below. I didn't risk moving, but check in staff were able to move me to the F cabin when I got to the airport.

I’d be interested to know how you get on. I could see a sensible looking seat map (starting from row 10) until OLCI when the seat map became garbled. Looks like F is available on yours.

I wonder what is happening to the Iberia daily A340 which seems to be their hubbing flight from heathrow. Perhaps capacity is being shared

Anyone know the latest on BA's 777 useage on this route? I'm wanting to book a Sunday return on the 5:50pm MAD-LHR in the Autumn, and whilst GoogleFlights says 777, ITAMatrix has it as a A320.

Just thought someone might know the actual timetabled plans for the future!

Can someone help me interpret this mess below please? Flying from MAD tomorrow evening on what I think is a 777 but the map is a car crash - are these CW seats?

Yes, and the two seats off to the right for some reason are 10JK.
