Pretty sure that if a 777/787 is needed elsewhere, MAD will be the first to get canned. There were seasons where the 460/461 did not even operate on Saturdays, it wouldn't surprise me if it was only loaded to A319 levels.

I know, I'm just gutted it's happened on my booking

My flight tomorrow is now a 763 rather than a 789 which is a real shame. I am however very glad I did not POUG it in the end. Let's hope the return on Sunday sticks with a 777.

Hi,

I flew it last week and whilst it was very nice to stretch out the crew did do the long haul routine ( 40 mins to landing and seats upright at 20mins ) and seemed to to the bare minimum ie not offering any refills or asking if you wanted anything else.

regards

tbs

I guess that's more to do with the aircraft type than the distance. Larger aircraft = more time needed to secure. The flight crew are also probably programmed to giving a 40 minute call.

Were you lucky today with B777?

When I took the flight last week, PE opened around 3 days before flight. I was able to move myself from 1st row of eco to PE. A lot of passengers surprised by big aircraft or being in PE. I booked it on purpose of course.

It's a 3-class 777 today.

Doing the BA460 and BA461 this weekend and next month. Even though aircraft type was 789/772 and I have bronze, I couldn’t bag a window seat. A 2-3-2 seat map showed in the app for both legs with only 4 open seats, aisle or middle. This is a placeholder in case the widebody is swapped out? Bagged a good seat when check in opened for the BA460 but only my allocated aisle was available at t-24 for the way back. Very unusual to have no choice on short haul. Seat map for flight in Jan again only shows 3-4 aisle or middle seats available to buy! Missing revenue here surely.

What’s the issue?

Was on the BA460 today and 789 was subbed to a 763 a couple of hours before departure. That's two Saturdays running that has happened. Hope to have better luck with the IB A340 tomorrow!

Nothing in the timetable as of yet. Just the 767 on the first flight out, then narrowbody all day, apart from the ubiquitous IB 340.

im booked in on BA460 LHR - Mad on Wed in CE.

It seems to be a 4 class 777 (how can i tell?).
More importantly however, i cant seem to select the first cabin at all (only from row 10)?
Am i missing something here?
