This is G-STBN and the F blinds are the same as the rest of the BA fleet in F post refit.

Don’t suppose you know if G-STBG currently in CWL for refit or just for engineering?

I have always been curious how people discover the G- numbers of a particular aircraft/route.

Back when I was in the airline there was a nifty little tool called "The Ops dashboard" (I worked on it so I'm not biased... at all!) which allowed you to see the reg of the plane assigned to a specific flight one-two days in advance, although things can and do change on the day, especially on short haul.

Another way is by checking flightradar24. On the day, if you're on the 'return' leg of a flight, you're bound to know which plane is going to serve it by looking at the inbound or, in case of a night stopper, by looking at the reg of the arriving aircraft. A slightly less scientific way is to see past flights, again on flightradar or flightaware: if, say, BA38 has been operated by a G-YMMx aircraft 10 out of the last 11 days then chances are that day 12 will see another G-YMMx bird on the service.

And as to understanding which aircraft has which configuration, well, there's super up-to-date resources here on Flyertalk or Prospero's amazing AeroLOPA website.

There are only two LGW 772s at LHR currently - they do tend to swap around quite often these days.

Does anyone have any info on G-VIIV/W
Both aircraft have been in storage since early 2020, but all 772’s have now returned to active service except these two? I saw IV has been moved to AUH but IW is still in TEV. Any ideas what’s going on here?

All 3 are now odd-ball aircraft in the BA B777-200ER fleet sadly. They were LGW based aircraft and underwent a WT/WTP and CW refit back in 2018/19 to bring them up to spec with the newest interiors for those cabins. However Covid-19 hit and F has been pulled from LGW, so there a few options for them:
1) Go back to CWL and have the F cabin taken out and CW reconfigured to match the rest of the LGW fleet (not ideal given the money spent on them just 3yrs ago with little return earned)
2) Reconfigure them to LHR standard with CS interiors (again not cost effective) and possibly not needed given LHR's B777 fleet numbers have now been fixed

The plan for this year is to bring them back and use them on LHR / LGW bucket and spade 3-class routes (Orlando and some Caribbean routes) to cover for B777's undergoing CS refits in CWL and the F cabin can be used for FLUB overspill, but post the end of this summer I'm not sure what BA will decide to do with them and will probably have to bite the bullet and refit them (again) in some format

Or become the first of the 77Es to be retired, possibly? I imagine demand to be soft for quite some time and BA have more A351s and 78Xs to be delivered.

All 3 of the LGW 4 class aircraft are currently planned to operate from LHR during the summer season. According the schedule for 2nd week of July they will be operating

Daily flights to Barbados are showing as being operated daily by a 4 class 777 with the configuration 14F/48W/40W/134Y.

Daily flights to Nairobi and Orlando are both showing as operating as a 3 class service with the configuration 62J/40W/134Y, which means First will be sold as Club

At least 2 of the 3 aircraft are also running the CPT service for April in a 3-class configuration with F currently closed off, but available for FLUB upgrades if required over Easter.

I doubt the non-bunked ex-LGW 4-class 772s will fly to CPT, even if that’s what’s currently in the schedule. If it’s a four class aircraft without club suite it’s more likely the non-refitted 777-300ERs
