This may help...

[First FT Pictures] G-VIIX refurbishment [LGW B772, including 3-4-3 seating in WT]

I was a 772 out of LHR and it had IFE boxes, it’s fine and doesn’t encroach. There are worse problems in life.

The IFE boxes are "pan mounted" (to the bottom of the seat) and are not visible or in the way.

Do you mean *not* visible or in the way?

My CPT-LGW for January 2020 is showing 32J which I think means that they expect to have refitted at least one of the crew-bunked aircraft between now and then.

We've booked an Avios CPT-LGW for December into WT+ and rows 10-15 are WT+.Can't see anything that matches up on BA Source. Anyone know if this is a new layout (and therefore refurbished frame)?

G-VIIV - the first of the 4-class LGW 777s to be given a facelift - went off to Singapore on 2 December and still isn't back. The wiki suggests 28 January as a delivery date. Even allowing for a few days break around Christmas, it seems really odd to me that it would take 2 months to upgrade when it was taking a month to do a 3-class.

Does anyone know whether this desperately slow progress is going to continue throughout this year, that all 4-class aircraft are going to take this long? If so, I dread to think when the 777 refurb programme will be finished. Do all airlines take this long to do refurbs? This is not meant to be a jibe at BA. I'm genuinely interested in the varying timescales and why it should take so long.

Thanks

The aircraft aren’t all the same age and some may need additional work that take longer. BA need competitive configuration revenues, they wouldn’t go slow without reason.

I guess the first 4-class will take longer because details such as IFE wiring will differ from the 3-class refurbs. No doubt, the Christmas and New Year break will have added to this.

But our seat map doesn't seem to have a row 16. Maybe a different configuration?

Does this mean the 16+10 would be from LHR fleet and they will have the same layout without the rumoured 'new new CW seats with doors'????

Are there the same number of rows in the DEFG central block on both maps?
