I have not been invited. Happen to be in London this weekend anyway, perhaps I could gate crash?

My one night of the week in London and I did not get an invite! I wonder what would happen if a few of us tried to crash ... not good, I am sure

Nothing in my mailbox. Could it be that they monitor alcohol consumption on board flights and rule out the thirstier GGL'ers on cost grounds?

If your postcode starts with BT I can't see you getting an invite.

So how do these events work?

Do we ordinary Golds get summoned to serve the champers? And the Silvers serve the wine and soft drinks? Bronzes serve the food? And the Blues help to clean up afterwards?

We know the rest of us lower statuses are not worthy...

Anecdotal evidence is that GGL members - who are mainly very busy and successful people - have started to boycott this as a waste of space. There are only so many times they are willing to waste their time discussing genuine concerns with BA management, who promise to take your views on board, just for standards to be cut even further a month later.
