Surely we can get it cheaper than this?

:)

Calling FTers.

If I price up the following on BA.com it comes to just over £11,800 in Club World / Business on all Legs

LHR - NYC Jan 4th 2017 Club World
NYC - SFO Jan 8th American Airlines - Business
SFO - LHR Jan 13th Club World

this is based on 2 adults now using the knowledge of FT can you Plllllleeeeeeeaaaaaassssssseeeeeee save me a few quid and get this cheaper I don't mind where I have to go i.e Dublin, Amsterdam etc etc as positioning flights but I am not spending nearly 12k on flights! I know this is pocket change to most of you :p:D;) but I am not as fortunate.

Please Help and thank you.

Have you tried an online travel agent or ITA matrix?

This was one minute of looking so wouldn't be surprised if there was better out there...

Look on aa.com - 3.5k :)

To begin with try pricing as LHR/JFK with SFO/LHR return, and the JFK/SFO separate.

Stopovers in excess of 24 hours can see significant price increases. Then look at using matrix to see what you can do from an ex-EU position.

The issue here is probably the stopover pushing you into a more expensive fare (though not necessarily a different availability bucket).

(Edit: it does book into R - not sure if the dates or routes would go into the free upgrade to First promotion).

Starting in LHR would be cheaper on two tickets.

Option 1 is to do it on two tickets like this:

You can then do NYC-SFO on a separate ticket - it's £719 one way on a transcon business fare, or £196 in main cabin, or £540 or so in first with a change in DFW (mainly).

Option 2 is to do it on one - but the start points are different.

Second edit: ESFLYER95's routing is better - in terms of quality and service as well as flexibility. By booking an R-class ticket, you get (a little) more flexibility at essentially no extra cost over the two-ticket solution.

Not really... your option is £500 more expensive but it's for two, rather than for one.
