Taiwanese people in Australia are mainly to be found in BNE (and SYD/MEL).

PER is more popular with Southeast Asian Chinese (i.e. Malaysian, Singaporean, Indonesian)

If BA really wanted to serve more Australian cities again as well as Taiwan, I would suggest that LHR-TPE-BNE and extending KUL to PER would make more sense. Switch SIN-SYD to SIN-MEL and extend the HKG A380 to SYD.

Possibly extend the HKG 777 to ADL (CX only does HKG-ADL direct every other day so perhaps they figure there is not enough demand)

My furthest memory - early 90s - is that in addition to the SYD and MEL services, BA equipment also went to BNE with a tag-on to AKL, to ADL as a tag-on from MEL, and to PER.

I am sure one of my earliest (early 2000s) was SYD via BKK on a 744?

Judging by the 'reliable' feedback one sees on here BA would be the last choice of airline one would take to the Far East and beyond.

I'd rather have BR in J than BA in F, even at the same price.

BR offers the following on the TPE-BKK-LHR route:

Grande Cuvee Champagnes
Royal Salute Whisky
PJs
Direct aisle access
7 course lunch
Rimowa amenity kits
Fiji water
Decent coffee

BA F offers some but not all of the above.

Sorely disappointed that QF has beaten BA to PER
