Club World Business Class cabin on ABZ - LHR !

Just booked the last flight of the evening from ABZ - LHR, for a few weeks time, and it's showing as an A321 in International configuration, with Club World seats selectable (at least for Golds)...

Haven't done this route for years - does this happen often?

I'm quite looking forward to the flight all of a sudden...!

It's probably an old BMI plane. Same happened to me from TXL to LHR

Apparently it's on one of the later rotations on a regular basis.
Sadly not the flights I've got booked for next week - I may genuinely have altered my flight plans had I known, but I keep checking the seating plan in case of a change.

Yes, according to the very high number of threads with the same topic line, it's pretty common! I think some of the ex BMI 321s are getting reconfigured very soon, so won't happen too much longer.

Yes, I had one on a MAN-LHR domestic last year. I had made a seat selection in one of the rows near the front, on a seat map showing a normal single-class configuration, and was delighted to find it was a mid-haul when I boarded. I guess I was lucky that the seat I had chosen was one that carried over to the new configuration.

At least one of the daily ABZ flights has had the mid haul A321 all summer.

Except on the days when it gets swapped out (as happened when I flew ABZ-LHR last month).

Remember to take your own headphones, and then you can enjoy the IFE!
