Thanks - was sure I'd been here more recently than that but apparently not!

It was definitely sometime between March and late June. I know it happened shortly before the opening of the new T2 preclearance lounge ( https://www.dublinairport.com/latest...earance-lounge ), e.g. the lounge that is now available when traveling to the US from DUB after you've gone through US CBP preclearance.

Maybe new caterers brought in by DAA to coincide with their new lounge opening?

It's improved? The supper I had there the other day was dismal sandwiches and a bag of crisps.

Wasn't March or early April. Passed through twice and it was as it has always been.

I was in there on Tuesday night and the beer was warm due to broken fridges. Messy plates and glasses everywhere. I find the lounge pretty gloomy, thoroughly compensated by having Tayto crisps! ^:D

It has fallen back a little although the original (and best) Tayto are now available of late!

The fridge is not working in the half where there is still soup.

And only egg sandwiches available today - none of the usual salmon, chicken, etc :-(

I was in last Saturday and there didn't seem much noticeable improvement. Mrs P commented that the sandwiches looked as though they had just been thrown on the display plate and I couldn't disagree. The toilets are hardly the best either.

There was also a charming family of four adults sat behind us whose limited vocabulary was supplemented by persistent effing and blinding - including the female members.

I wasn't too bothered as my earplugs were fully inserted most of the time, but I felt sorry for the families in the lounge with kids - some who were justified in moving to other areas to avoid the filthy language.

Although not one of the worst lounges I have entered, it is one where I try to spend as little time in as possible.

Of course that is the Terminal 1 lounge - i have not been in the terminal two lounge for about 6 weeks. It is nicer in my opinion.

I was in their last evening, the sandwiches looked inedible and were in 'kit form' (i.e. random sections ready for reassembly). I was there almost 2 hours and there was no 'refresh'. The fridge in the left had section of the lounge has a piece of paper stuck to the door with Sellotape, acting as an handle. The place was hooching with small, black flying insects.
Some improvement.

I was in there over the August bank holiday and the food selection was considerably worse than it was a few months previously and the staff seemed much more stressed/grumpy than usual. Maybe because it was rammed, lots of dirty plates and lots of noisy children (and oblivious parents). Shame as I usually quite like the Dublin lounge so will make sure I avoid it on UK bank holidays in future!

Apparently there has been an "insect problem" on the side where the fridge is not working (but has soup).

I was there on tuesday and it seems like it was refurbished since I was there last December.

Its a nicer room to stay in but the food and drink offering is still pretty bad.

The smoothies were so warm they could make you ill. I was delayed 4 hours in there and the food wasn't restocked and had so many flies on them.

First world problems I know, but we also laughed at how many straws we went through because they were made of paper and kept disintegrating. My gran (irish so she can say it) said they must be an irish invention haha

I was hoping with the purchase of Aer Lingus and the LCY flights that BA would invest in their own galleries lounge
