BA first class San Diego - new or old?

We are due to fly from San Diego to LHR on BA272 on the 747 plane. Does anyone know if this route is the old first class or new first class? Any info would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Indeed the last Old First flight departed Accra on 25 March 2016, the aircraft concerned, G-BNLF is no more, so there's no danger of getting that any more.

Welcome to Flyertalk Jamesmeldrum83, welcome to the BA forum. I hope we will see more of you here, San Diego punches above its weight in this forum! Welcome on board.

Welcome to the BA forum. I always love F on the 747, I know it's not the newest aircraft in the fleet but being right in the nose with no through traffic is great. Seat 2A or 2K are the best for me.

Could possibly be a Hi J 747 - my upcoming round trip in November was showing Hi J 747,s both ways, now the LHR-SAN is a 777-300 and the return still a Hi J 747.

Technically the newest First product is on the 787-9 introduced in 2015, followed by the A380 product in 2013 and then the 747/777 product introduced in 2010.

Of course, all variations on the same theme, but slightly different products nonetheless.
