Classic Threads

I've just spent a happy half an hour reading how printingandbreakfast arrived on the FT scene in 2009 (1), and it made me think about the other classic threads that are out there. I'd put forward the collection of Pucci Galore's Tales From The Galley, the adventures in WT of cws and the Young Cousin (2) and the recent-ish 'rowdy'-guys-go-for-Vegas-weekend-in-F (cf?). Which threads would others nominate? (There was mention in '09 of a stroller thread?)

(2) Sad News re corporate-wage-slave [He's flying economy for the first time very soon!]

Great idea for a thread, OP.

printingandbreakfast is immortal, it will take something special to surpass that.

Here are three favourites of mine:
- 8 bottles of Dom from LAX-BKK on SQ in F
- SYD to LHR on a Plane

and since the one I though of first was mentioned by an earlier poster, I'll include the legendary trip to Seoul, when 73 Flyertalkers flew from London to Seoul for a BBQ

8 Bottles of Dom is my all time favourite.

On the BA board I recall a classic about a year or so ago about someone not being referred to as a Doctor. I'm useless at searching though so can't provide a link.

My favourite (never poke the bear...)...

How far are you willing to fly in economy?

When I first started with FT there was a rumpus at Zurich involving a stroller. That set a certain tone for many things I have subsequently witnessed. In their own way, the Grrr Moscow/Grrr Larnaca threads (FT passim) were to my mind classics, albeit of a kind which represent a previous iteration of this forum.

Ooh, there was also one about deliberately tripping over unruly children in the lounges!

Thinking about it, there are lots of very very amusing threads on here!

I'm on the mobile version at the moment, so maybe someone can dig it out, but CWS' 'week in the life of' thread from a couple of years ago was pretty classic.

A business traveller's week on BA and oneworld ...

Wasn't it you Henky who was tripping up young children in the lounges...

Apologies if I have got that wrong and accused you of a crime that you didn't commit

For me it has to be the Snuffi faux pas, fortunately rectified, that led to my all time favourite FT comment:

"Only on FT could the solution for a husband being in CW and the wife being in WT be the upgrading of the husband to F"
