Swiss Do (Lausanne) 2017

August Bank Holiday Weekend

Date: 26th August 2017 Extension possible before and after


Proposed activities

Pre-Do for those that get there on Friday 25th:
Dinner and Drinks: Les Brasseurs Local micro brewery in Lausanne

Do: 26th

Afternoon drink in the Flon area of Lausanne:
Friend's Cafe (Roof Top of the l'Hotel 6 place d'Europe)
14:00 onwards

Dinner in on of the varies eateries around the centre of town

Post Do 27th August

Boat trip for Sunday Lunch Tour de Haut-Lac
Boat leaves at 12:30 Returns 15:20

Lausanne - St Gingolph - Chillion - Montreux - Lausanne
on "Belle - Epoque" paddle steamer "La Suisse"

Yes, I saw that. I assumed you weren't intending to organise a Do a year ahead hence I though it was a typo, but obviously I am wrong!

The Swiss are exceedingly good at planning ahead, and being on-time It rubs off on everyone here.

As another CH based FTer, I will of course love to be part of the festivities.

I am definitely in for this one, especially considering I'm based for much of the year in Montreux. Usually on holiday in August, but I will watch this space and adjust accordingly. I know the area pretty well, so if anyone needs info or anything checking out I could be of help. Remember, it is pretty damned expensive out there, so you might want to start warming up your hotel points. Eating is also quite dear, but there are options.
