Ibiza lounge

Finally Ibiza has a VIP lounge- Sala Cap des Falcó.

Not sure if BA is giving access to business class but my gold card got me in on an Air Nostrum/Iberia flight. Located at the far end of the terminal with great views of Las Salinas and the Med. Pics to follow shortly.

Good news, I'll update the wiki in the Europe lounge directory. And for the unintiated, this was the previous IBZ offering (parental discretion advised) for which for some reason BA was unwilling to pay (and I suspect won't pay for the new one either):

As promised, a few photos of the lounge. This was 10.30am on a Saturday morning and the place was very quiet. 4 or 5 people taking Lufthansa to Frankfurt later came in.
Cold food is available and for those familiar with other AENA lounges the selection was very similar. Alcohol is available and hidden in the cupboards (other than beer which is in the fridge) but you're invited to help yourself (if you ask where it is). Wifi was good and seating comfortable. My only observation was a lack of power sockets for charging devices.

I got in using BA gold card flying Iberia economy. Not sure about BA CE without status. I see it has not yet been added to the lounge access list on the BA website.

I don't have any insight about this, but I will enquire on my next visit. However it would be fairly typical that IB have arranged access and BA have not done so. Hence my guess is there is no access on BA flights. In the case of BIO, which has the same airport operator and lounge set-up, BA did come around to getting access after nearly a year. It helps that not all of BA's IBZ flights go to LGW.

I've just tweeted BA to ask about lounge access. Let's see what they say.

So BA has replied as expected:
"we don't currently have an arrangement in place with this lounge. If this changes we'll update the info on our website."

FYI, I could not enter the lounge with AB topbonus gold, flying Iberia Airnostrum. Besides, I asked Iberia customer service and they told me they do not have any agreement for Iberia card holders or oneworld members with this lounge. On the opposite, I asked Aena and they told me Iberia gold card holders have access, so I do not know who to believe and I do not understand why I was denied the access and @MarkLHR could access with BA card flying Iberia...

The lounge was completely empty on Friday evening...

I will try to access the lounge and see what they say.
