One thing's for sure - it'll be a pricey diversion for BA!

Don't worry, they'll make up for it elsewhere by enhancing something away!!

Imagine how thrilled those passengers will be to learn that they're NOT heading out again tomorrow morning, but as BA4600 at 1915, arriving 33 hours later than they originally expected!

Oof. Adding insult to injury.

In the old days BA had the resources to put a crew - and if needed a plane with catering - into HEL go minimise the mess. No more...

As part of our commitment to enhancing our service, we will no longer be double checking our flight plans to ensure an on-time departure.

To further enhance our offering, London will now only be our diversion point so that we may have the most resources and manpower to assist you and help you get to your destination with as little inconvenience as possible

Oh good. So I guess, simply no decision yet. They must be planning to run the flight, because loads on the other flights to TYO haven't changed (for some reason, TYO flights are generally very busy right now).

I'm sure the excuses are being lined up as we speak.

It's all Putin's fault, and besides KLM had an accident in 1977.

"Our research shows that Very few people choose British airways on the basis of our accurate flight plans and so to we have decided not to check them"

With ETA at HND at 0600 on 9 July.

The current estimated times for BA8/8 July would then probably mean estimated departure from HND at 0730 on 9 July, with estimated arrival at LHR at 1126 on 9 July.

Although that's going by what EF shows, rather than what ba.com says.
