Recent experience booking Meridiana award travel?

I didn't want to revive an old thread from 2014, but does anyone have any tips or info about using BA Avios to book flights on Meridiana? I'm interested in the non-stop flight from NAP to JFK. Tried searching several times on BA.com but keep getting an error message.

Can these only be booked by calling BA?
Is there a way to approximately check for available dates?
Any ideas of the cost in terms of points + fees? (This nonstop route didn't show up on Wandering Aramean calculator.)

I'd appreciate any tips or strategic suggestions.
Thanks

Not available through ba.com, will need to call in.

For a guide to the number of Avios, try gcmap.com to find the flown mileage and then looking at the award tables, or price the JFK-FCO on AA for approximation...

Is there any way of seeing availability by another route?
